    Strictly For Casuals, But Nice
Yes, basic and lots of light-gauge extrusions and plastic, but overall nicely rigid. The legs at full extension form ~30 inch triangle, and between that, three sections per leg, and the weight hook make for a sturdy-enough platform. Panning is not going to be smooth due to the weight and materials, but maybe a drop of oil and bracing as you pan will fix some of that. Tilt is fine.Overall, it’s very much a value proposition; what are your expectations at this price point. I think it delivers on that. Amateur and stationary use are what this tripod is made for. In fact, that’s what I got it for; I’ll be attaching a decibel meter for shooting suppressed and unsuppressed.

Nice disposable tripod for small projects
NEEWER BASICS Camera Tripod, 71” Tripod with Cell Phone Holder Mount Compatible with iPhone for Video Recording, Professional Aluminum Lightweight Portable Travel Stand with 3 Way Pan Tilt Head, TP55GOODLIGHT WEIGHTFor a tripod that extends so high it doesn’t weigh much but this is because it is nearly all plastic and very thin metal. Most of the tripod except for the actual legs is plastic. The mounting plate, the handles, the latches, are all plastic.COMPACTRelative to its height this tripod gets very compact and comes with a cheap disposable-quality bag.INEXPENSIVEAT ABOUT 36 bucks this is a decent value. But it is ultimately a disposable quality tripod. Don’t expect to much of it and you will be satisfied.EXPANSION HEIGHTThis tripod gets very tall when fully extended. It is close to the height of a light stand at about 5.5 feet.FOAM FEETThe soft feet on this will be great to protect home floors from damage as well as help stabilize the legs on graveled uneven terrain.2 TRIPOD PLATESHaving two plates in the kit is very convenient.PHONE HOLDERThe phone mount provided is very nice. It turns to position your phone in the vertical and horizontal position. Its all plastic but decent quality for the price.WEIGHT HOOKThe tripod is low weight and hook provided on the bottom of the column will help stabilize the camera on the stand.WIDE BASEWhen the legs extend the base of the tripod is quite large. This helps compensate for the low weight of the tripod.BADBUILD QUALITYThis has too much plastic for it not to be a hit to its quality assessment. I understand plastic helps make it be lighter and cheaper but It is too much for it not to be mentioned as criticism. So much plastic makes the tripod less able to take damage on top of being light weight and easy to carry.STIFF LATCHESThe latches on this are actually hard to use. They are also plastic so it makes me worried to eventually damage it trying to open and close these quickly. It also makes it tough since it requires so many moments and effort to open and close.NOTEThis tripod is clearly made for phone and small Interchangeable lens cameras. It is meant to be portable and disposable, but still have features that make it useful gear. Personally i wouldn’t recommend this if you want a long lasting tripod . I wouldn’t recommend this if you need a tripod for medium or large camera rigs. I wouldn’t use this tripod for a camera that I consider very expensive without plenty of weight and care taken. But with all the extra weight and the fact that I’m using an expensive camera would probably mean I could afford or at least might consider buying a better tripod.SO ultimately this tripod is for people that need to mount very small cameras and phones high up , but while working within space and monetary constraints.

Serves the need of a beginner.
Serves the need of a beginner. I bought it for someone else. My main criterion was that it has to be lightweight and can not be too complex for a beginner (and should not be too expensive so that you don’t feel too bad if forgot in the subway!)

    Buen producto
Hasta ahora ha tenido buen desempeño, buen producto.

  7. Linda

    Disappointed.
The head on mine is not stable and the whiner used to elongate it isn’t working. It won’t lock into place. Makes the elongation not to work.Maybe I received a defective product.I bought two different stands on this order. The other one which is for my camera is studier. Had bought this one for my phone.

I put it together, didn’t take long.Attached my spotting scope and the secure fittings holds it well. The clips on the legs are of a good quality and it takes very little time to set up. I don’t use the spirit level as I use it only for the scope.I am very pleased with it.

If you’ve ever tried to balance your phone on a stack of books or a random ledge to film a video, you know the pain of living without a proper tripod. Enter the NEEWER Entry Level TP53, a metal, lightweight tripod made for people who want solid results without shelling out pro-level cash.Let’s talk build. The first thing I noticed pulling this thing out of the box is that it’s metal, not plastic, so it doesn’t feel like it’ll snap in half the first time you set it up outside. At 1.3 pounds, it’s light enough to toss in a backpack, and small enough (folds down to about 17 inches) that you won’t look like you’re lugging around a professional movie rig. The legs extend and lock smoothly, and the quick-release plate is actually easy to use, which isn’t a given at this price point.Mounting a phone is dead simple with the included cold shoe cellphone holder. It’s sturdy, adjustable, and it fits my iPhone snugly (case on). The cold shoe attachment is a nice touch for anyone who wants to slap on a little microphone or a light, something vloggers and mobile filmmakers will appreciate. It also works with compact cameras and mirrorless models, so you’re not locked into just one device. What about stability? I shot outside on a breezy day, and the TP53 stayed put, no wobbles, no drama. The rubber feet keep it from sliding, and it doesn’t tip over if you’re fiddling with the phone. Adjusting angles is easy with the tilt and pan head. You won’t get buttery-smooth motion like on a $200 tripod, but for basic video, Zoom calls, or even time-lapses, it’s more than good enough.Downsides? Sure, there are a few. If you’re over 6 feet tall, you might find the 56-inch max height a little short for eye-level shots. And while the tripod is sturdy for its size, you probably don’t want to throw a heavy DSLR on there; it’s really meant for phones and lightweight cameras.Bottom line: The NEEWER TP53 is a solid pick for beginners, travellers, or anyone who just wants to make their video setup less janky. It punches above its weight for the price, looks and feels better than most other “entry level” tripods, and actually makes shooting video on your phone feel like less of a hack. If you want hassle-free setup, portability, and some nice pro features (like the cold shoe mount), this is a no-brainer.Rating: 4.5/5

Upon first look, I was pretty impressed by this Neewer Entry Level Tripod. Adjustable from 27.9” to 47.4”, this tripod can be customized for whatever setting it’s being used in.This tripod comes packed with a sinch storage pouch, a phone holder attachment and instructions. I didn’t find a need to use the instructions, the tripod is straight forward and easy to setup, even when in a pinch.I was slightly concerned about how this tripod would hold up because of the materials it’s made of, but it’s solid and stable when everything’s locked. The tripod is made of metal and plastic, and remains super lightweight so that it’s easy to transport and carry. The feet and area where your camera sits are constructed with silicone to assist with stability. When I was setting the tripod up for the first time, I was a bit concerned with how flimsy the legs felt, but once they were locked in place, the tripod was stable.Although I wouldn’t suggest this tripod for a backpacking trip, it would be a decent choice to bring along when car camping, or for use around the home. When folded and packed in its pouch, the tripod could be carried in a large backpack, but it in my opinion it’s a bit too long for carry on size. The tripod can be used with a camera, or any videoing device with a screw mount, as well as phones using the attachment. Using the multiple adjustment spots on the tripod, you can rotate in a panoramic, you can adjust looking down and up, as well as adjusting to the side. For an entry level tripod, there are way more adjustable components than I was expecting. If you wanted, you could smoothly take a completely level panoramic photo or video. So cool!I highly suggest this tripod for anybody entering into photography, or anyone who just likes to play around with videography!

I have received this for free with the Amazon Vine program, in exchange for a completely unbiased review and perspective. No strings attached!Let’s get straight to it: for a tripod marketed as “entry-level,” this NEEWER TP53 is genuinely impressive and offers incredible value for anyone just starting out, or for those who need a super-portable secondary tripod. It has quickly become my go-to for filming with my phone.— **THE POSITIVES** —✅ **Surprisingly Sturdy Build:** I was expecting something flimsy for the price and its lightweight nature, but the metal legs give it a reassuringly solid feel. For stationary shots with a smartphone or a small mirrorless camera, it’s more than stable enough. It’s the perfect blend of being light enough to carry everywhere without feeling like a toy.✅ **The Genius Phone Mount:** This is the star of the show! The included phone holder isn’t just an afterthought. It’s robust, grips my phone securely, and the integrated cold shoe mount on top is a fantastic feature. It allows you to mount a small microphone or an LED light directly above your phone without needing extra clamps or cages. For vloggers or anyone wanting to improve their mobile video quality, this is a huge plus.✅ **Simple and Quick to Use:** The flip-locks on the leg extensions are intuitive and fast. You can set this tripod up and take it down in under a minute with no fuss. The head provides smooth enough panning and tilting for basic video shots, which is perfect for its intended use.✅ **Incredibly Lightweight & Portable:** It comes with a simple carrying bag, and because it’s so light, I have no hesitation tossing it in a backpack for a day trip or a hike. It barely adds any noticeable weight.— **THE CONSIDERATIONS** —⛔️ **Stability at Full Height:** Like virtually any lightweight travel tripod, it’s most stable when not at its absolute maximum extension. When fully extended, it can get a little wobbly, especially in a breeze. For maximum stability, I’d recommend using the lower leg sections first or hanging a small bag from the centre column for extra weight if you need the height.⛔️ **Plastic Components:** While the legs are metal, the head mechanism and the leg locks are made of plastic. It feels like a durable, quality plastic, but it’s still something to be mindful of. This is a standard trade-off for affordability and keeping the weight down, not a major flaw. Just don’t overtighten the knobs.— **FINAL VERDICT** —Overall, this is an absolutely outstanding package for the price. NEEWER has perfectly identified what a beginner or a mobile content creator needs: portability, ease of use, and thoughtful features like that cold shoe mount. It’s not designed to hold a heavy professional camera with a giant lens, and it doesn’t pretend to be.If you’re looking for your first tripod, a reliable travel companion for your phone or small camera, or a gift for an aspiring creator, this is a fantastic choice that you won’t regret. Highly recommended!
