Great laptop chill pad
This is a great laptop cooling pad and does exactly what I wanted. Most cooling pads are hard plastic with pointy legs. I actually use my laptop on my lap, so these other types are very uncomfortable. The Targus chill mat is very soft and comfortable, while still being rigid and supportive. Just a thin layer of cushion on both sides makes all the difference. I did have to get used to the increase in height but it is worth while.And most importantly, it WORKS. My Dell laptop would get So hot very quickly that it was uncomfortable both on the top and the bottom. As soon as I plug in the fan it is cooled off within just a couple minutes. I highly recommend this cooling pad. I don’t know how long it will last. I often forget to unplug the fan when I stop using the laptop because it is SO SILENT so it runs overnight. I Have to lift the laptop and put my hand over it to tell if the fans are running.Overall very pleased. I paid full price for this and am not compensated for this review, just a happy customer. Great for your gaming MacBook user
This is a great product. I just got it but it was desperately needed for my MacBook. I play the sims 4 and it would get hot enough and the fan would run loud enough I thought it was going to take off or melt.This has a cord to plug in (regular usb) on either side of the laptop. The fan is quiet and the design is great, and comfy. After playing the sims for over an hour on my lap, it’s barely warm.I think it saved my laptop y’all.

Keeps laptop from burning my legs!
I bought the Targus Laptop Cooling Pad because my laptop was getting so hot it was burning my legs/lap during use. This cooling pad provides a great barrier between the heat of the laptop and my legs while also cooling the laptop with fan airflow. The neoprene isn’t the softest, but does add to the comfort during use. Lik another review, I agree the plastic feels flimsy. I feel when I grab the pad there is enough give, that over time the plastic may break. I have a 13” laptop. I was concerned the cooling pad may be too large, but having used it for a month or so, I am not bothered by the extra inch on all sides. I love that you can re-position the USB cord to sit on the left side or right side of your computer. The fans are extremely quiet. Overall, it offers great value and reliable performance for protecting your laptop’s longevity.

This product is exceptional. The plastic dual fan laptop cooling pad operates effectively, regardless of the opinions expressed by others. While it may appear inexpensive and is notably lightweight, the power control adjustment located on the side grants the user an opportunity to enhance performance and deliver the appropriate amount of cooling to the computer. Contrarily, other reviews have claimed that it fails to cool the computer and that the fans are excessively loud. This contravenes my experience, as the device adequately cools the computer when the speed adjustment is set to maximum, and the noise level is relatively quiet. Naturally, the relationship between fan speed and noise is intrinsic; as fan speed increases, noise levels tend to rise, which correlates with enhanced cooling performance. Conversely, lower fan speeds result in minimal noise but also lack sufficient airflow and cooling effect. It is essential for consumers to determine their primary motivation for purchasing a cooling pad and cooling fan. My primary aim was to reduce my laptop’s temperature, and the noise level from this product is not bothersome; although audible, it is manageable while still providing excellent cooling performance. I highly recommend this product and would rate it ten stars if possible.

Fantastic cooling pad – should have bought this long long ago
The usb plug in can go on the left or right side of the laptop. I found the cord protruded out the side of the cooling pad and although you can tuck it in, it just comes right back out. So I used an easy fix – a clip to the side of the cooling pad (pictured). It’s quite and comfortable to use on my lap. The cooling pad is lightweight. My laptop doesn’t slide on it like it did on my last plastic laptop pad. And the laptop stays far cooler than it was on that plastic laptop pad – no doubt! Wish I would have bought this YEARS ago – it’s really nice.

Not as Described – Used Item was Dirty and Nonfunctional
I ordered a used version of this product, which was listed as having damaged packaging but described as new and in mint condition. Unfortunately, what I received was clearly not mint. The item had visible signs of prior use—it was filthy, with dirt buildup under the fans, debris embedded in the fabric, and a chipped plastic edge that looked like someone had tried to pry it open. When I plugged it in, the fans didn’t work at all.I’m sure this product performs well when truly new, but the “used, mint condition” listing was misleading. Resellers really need to inspect customer returns more carefully to prevent situations like this.Despite the condition of the item I received, I gave it 3 stars because the design itself still meets my needs. It has a soft fabric backing, rubber feet to prevent slipping, and offers a comfortable typing angle without being too bulky. I’ve decided to order a brand-new version instead of risking another used one. I’ll update my review and rating once I receive the replacement.

I looked at allot of these coolers as lately I’ve been doing some video editing in bed before sleep and my MacBook M2 16 inch gets a bit warm if pushed. Plus it’s hot on my lap.So I thought I’d give this a shot as it wasn’t as expensive as most others but seemed like it would do the job.Firstly it’s very comfortable on my lap now. I can be glued to my screen for a long time while my laptop is sitting on this Tagus cooler. It’s because it has a neoprene style bottom. It’s comfortable.The build quality is good, but this isn’t a heavy duty build I would say. It is rather lightweight and angled. It has a usb A cord that protrudes from its side so it can be plugged in to your laptop. New Mac users need an adapter which is 5 bucks on amazon.There are two sizeable fans in the middle of the stand that blow air towards the bottom of your laptop. They are extremely quiet and unless I put my ear right next to the laptop cooler I can’t hear them at all. There is only one speed. But, even with my video editing it keeps my MacBook Pro cool therefore I don’t feel anything warm on my thighs either.I would buy this again. It’s a good product and works.Recommended.
