    This is an odd mix
First off I grabbed this headset because it was cheap and I needed something to record podcasts. Now this is an odd item to review because its a mix or really bad and really good. The first thing I did when I got these was test out the voice recording. I was extremely surprised by how well this tiny mic reproduces my voice so accurately. Ive used a whole line of shure, mxl, blue, and audiotechnica microphones from condensers to dynamics, and this little mic just sounds better. It actually threw me for a loop as how well this thing sounds. The metal goose neck is a plus as well. But the whole head set is really poorly constructed. Its hardly adjustable, the ear cups are to small to fit anything, theyre barely attached as well, and theres a constant whirring sound coming from the headphones. And despite all that, the headphones actually sound really good. It doesnt make sense with how poorly and cheaply this thing is put together that it’s audio is so good. And this is coming from an audiophile that listens to nothing but flac and wav files through my audio-technica ath m40’s. So if you can get past how bad this thing is made, you’ll be really happy with the audio you get out of this thing. This’ll be the biggest bang for your buck easily. I bought 2 more for my podcast team. Also, my package was dropped off by some un-uniformed dude in an unmarked tan mini van. Said my package was enchanted. Looked pretty sketch to me, but hey, the box had amazon’s logo on it.

A little less than sub par.
I chose these after shopping around and not wanting to step up to the next “tier” of $50+ USB headsets. I wish now that I had just made the jump.Sound quality is adequate, but not great. No complaints about the mic, it gets the job done. These things are quite uncomfortable–I can’t wear them for more than an hour without having to adjust them because my ears hurt. I do have a larger-than-normal sized head, but even when adjusted, it feels like this thing is trying to squeeze my ears together. The worst thing about these is that they have a constant high pitched hum in the background 100% OF THE TIME. It will not go away. I’m basically just going to be using them until I can’t stand it anymore, we’ll see how long that is. It’s quite possible that it’s a defect with my pair, or perhaps some electronic interference from my PC–but they seem otherwise functional, and I’ve had several USB headsets without that happeningIf you’re serious about using these to do gaming for long periods of time, I’d pass these by and just step up to the next level.

    very nice for price
I needed something to keep Skype a bit more private. The sound card and mike in my laptop were terrible, and this was a great solution. USB is much easier to deal with as automatic installation of derivers is a breeze. Good volume and clarity. boom mkie stays put.great valueThis is not a very rugged item, so I’ll have to be careful not to damage it, but it will do just nicely.

Read this review and the others before you buy
I read the reviews and took my chances. I wanted to use this for recording screencasts for my classes. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:(1) There is a mute button for the microphone. As you will see below, it’s function is moot here.(2) The headphones do seem to cancel ambient noise, but this is moot as well.Cons:(1) As some prior reviewers noted, this emits a high pitched noise when activated. During the 5 through 1 countdown in the screencast software, there is no noise, but as soon as the recording starts, you hear a high pitched noise in the background. One reviewer said that it is normal for this model. Perhaps saying that it is a defect in this model.(2) Unless the microphone volume is all the way to maximum in my Mac system preferences, my voice is all but inaudible. With the microphone volume to maximum, there is enough system noise to sound like I am in a wind tunnel. Even then, the audio levels in ScreenFlow barely show up as blips on the graph.(3) When the mute button is pressed on the cord, it makes a cricket noise. Fortunately, the mic doesn’t pick this up, but pressing the mute button makes all of the background noise created by this headset to go mute, a deafening silence compared to the annoying background noise when the mute button is off.(4) No sound in the headphones. The headphone part of this set only seems to function to hold the defective microphone in front of your mouth.I went to the Internet and found the manufacturer’s PDF manual for this headset. The manual (1 page) consists of a description of the unit’s specifications and the purpose of each of the four buttons. That’s it.

    No se escucha bien.

Niveau casque : bon rendu sonore, étonnant pour un casque de ce prix.Niveau prise de son : très bonne. Léger bruit de fond peut-être attribuable au micro ou à l’environnement.

  7. Nic

I don’t understand, on description it doesn’t says that the item is used. The packaging of this item is not sealed at all when I received it. ☹️

  8. Christine AN

A lot better then what I expected. Yes there us a sound when there is no auto playing but that’s to be expected with the nice cancellation. But when thereading is sound playing threw then the other ringing sound is gone.

  9. Christof.N

très beau à l’arrivée, de bons réglages pour le confort de la tête, mais après quelques heures d’utilisations, plus de sons dans l’oreille gauche.
