Surprisingly Fantastic Tripod for Lightweight Needs
I bought this tripod for a limited, specific purpose and therefore didn’t want to spend a lot. I have another very nice, very expensive tripod for my heavy cameras and didn’t expect much quality from this cheap one. However, I was surprised at how much I actually like this tripod. The weak part (for some purposes) is that it is very lightweight and wouldn’t be so great for my DSLR with a big heavy telephoto on it. But since I’m not using this tripod for that purpose, it is perfect for my needs and its lightweight nature is a bonus. Other great things: Super well thought out design, it even has a carrying handle, which I find fantastic. Easy adjustments, easy to open out or close the leg lengths and easy adjustments overall. Nice carrying bag. However, the first tripod I received had issues with the legs and two of the legs wouldn’t extend all the way out and seemed to be stuck in the short position. I sent it back as it was obviously defective. The second one I got was fine. You just can’t beat the price for such a great tripod, and if you want to put smaller cameras or other lightweight things on it, it really is a surprisingly good design with features I didn’t see on other tripods including some more expensive ones. I would definitely buy it again!

Very small, stable tripod with tiny quick-release plate
I bought a Neewer tripod last week from Amazon, but it turned out to be too big and heavy, but at the price I paid, I am keeping that one. I will be flying to California in a few months and wanted something I could carry-on. So, I sought something far more compact. Enter this Amazon basics tripod. For less than $20, with my 10% discount and free Prime shipping, I didn’t expect much, but, it is compact, and stable as long as I don’t elevate it to its maximum height. Of course at the low price of this tripod, one can’t expect a true fluid head, but the head functions ok; I plan on capturing ocean scenes, with minimal panning.For me the most disturbing part on this tripod is the tiny quick release plate. My Panasonic camcorder, thankfully, weighs less than 3 pounds with battery and tape, but the QR plate is so much smaller than that of any tripod I have owned (I am considering gluing the QR plat to the head…)So, if using a small digital camera or a phone, this tripod will be quite adequate, and will do for my soon to be trip to California, so I am keeping it. I now have three large Bogen, one medium Bogen, one medium Neewer and now this tripod, which I can only recommend if you will be using a light capture device.

Great lightweight tripod
This tripod is super easy to use and lightweight, which makes it perfect to carry around. It holds my phone/camera steady and the height adjustment is smooth. It also comes with a carrying bag, which is very convenient. Great value for the price!

A good choice for light-duty use
This is a solid little tripod for occasional amateur use with light telescopes, binoculars or cameras. Most of the fittings are plastic — don’t expect it to hold up to hard use. But the features are all useful and the price is right.

If you plan on removing the camera from the mount often, you are in for a real PITA.
Great price for the money. If you plan on removing the camera from the mount often, you are in for a real PITA. You have to match the shape; you can’t just drop it in and lock it like other platforms. And it can take me a good 30 seconds every single time. Not easy to use. Flimsy and barely makes the height requirement. The mount taking a little of playing with to lock in is driving me crazy.

El mejor tripode que he comprado, hasta compré otro para regalarlo. Tiene muchas opciones de usarse, es muy ligero, tiene muy buena estabilidad si lo usas para celular, no lo he usado con otro dispositivo. Tiene muy buena alura. Es genial en verdad. Si estás buscando precio, el precio lo vale, he comprado muchos tripies que se rompen al año de uso y este me ha durado mucho más. Lo recomiendo mucho!!
