amazing jar opener
It works!! Been looking for an ingenious friend to help me find a way to stablize jars so seniors can open them with TWO hands on the opener and found this. Thought I might make a million, but this device works great. Popped off right away on large relish jar I’ve been trying to open for 3 weeks (asked everyone to help). Its a keeper.

Easy to use on jars, previous one lasted 6 years. It takes more time than you might expect to open the jar and let go of jar and lid. Single touch is deceptive, you need to hold button down during initial part of grabbing the jar.

Opens even tough jars
I’m impressed with how much force this opener can exert to open stubborn jars. It generally works well, but I’ve run into a couple of problems. It doesn’t always reset properly after opening a jar. This requires some manual twisting of the mechanism to get it back to where it needs to be to open the next jar. Usually, I can get it positioned properly. But once I had to disassemble the unit to get all the parts back to where they needed to be. I consider this to be a bit of a design flaw. Most of the time, it’s a minor nuisance. I just hope I don’t have to disassemble it very often. Lastly, it doesn’t open all shapes of jars, but this is not surprising.

It really works, I don’t have the strength in my hands to open anything. It can open anything from a soda cap up to a large jar.

Disappointing and Difficult to Use
I had high hopes for this jar opener, especially for my elderly mother-in-law, but it just didn’t perform as expected. It’s finicky and inconsistent…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s not as user-friendly as advertised, and definitely not ideal for someone with limited strength or dexterity. For the price, I expected something more reliable and helpful. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the money.

Best Jar Opener!
I love this hat opener so much! It’s very strong and it’s made well! My sister got a jar of artichoke hearts and she couldn’t get the jar opened, so I ordered her one of these openers. She had a bit of trouble, the machine slipped sideways and got stuck sideways in the jar top. Then she was afraid to try it again, so she brought her jar and her owner to my house, so I could help her. I got it open with the opener the first time! I had to put the jar between my legs while I sat on my recliner, I centered the lid and pushed the jar opener button, it had to work really hard but then I heard a loud pop and it was open! I did have to push down on the top of the opener to keep it from slipping sideways. It was a jar of artichokes from Sam’s Club. I’ve never had a jar that hard to open! I even tried putting a butter knife under the lid to let the pressure escape, but that didn’t work, I couldn’t get it to release! Thank God for this well made jar opener!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
This gadget is an absolute miracle for me. I have suffered with getting jars open for YEARS! Jelly jars, pimento jars, pickle jars, mustard and mayo jars…… the list just goes on. I am convinced through the years they have sought out the MOST impossible- to–open lids that they can find, and then mechanically sucked them so tightly shut that it almost takes a vice and an ax to open them. It has made my life miserable! Then I saw this can opener. At first I kind of laughed, but then I read the positive reviews and thought,what the heck, I’ll give it a try. So I bought one. On my very first try, I could NOT believe how fast it worked and what a wonderful job it did of getting that lid off. I almost screamed with joy. (I have actually hurt my wrist several times trying to open jars so this was a BIG deal for me!) I ran and got my husband and showed him how this thing worked, and I opened several more jars in amazement. Well, that was months ago- and I have to tell you I am still in love with this thing! I use it several times a week, and every time I do, I tell it I LOVE IT before I put it in the drawer! I don’t ever want to be without this magical little device. I bought 2 more as backups just in case my original dies at some point. For those that say they don’t like it- I can only imagine that they are not using it correctly, because this thing is a beast! PURE LOVE HERE!!!!

If you have any kind of problem opening jars, then this is for you. Very easy/simple to use, but be warned that the actual jar opening comes very quickly at the end – the jar opens in a rush !! FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS !!
