    Good camera for the price
Good camera, not great. I bought this because we were going on a trip and a phone camera was not going to cut it. It’s good for casual holiday pictures. If you want excellent wildlife photos from more than 30 yards this probably is not the camera for you. The pictures look much better on the computer than they do on the small display. I did have trouble focusing a couple times at a distance and through a window. It does have focus priority settings but no manual focus. Batteries lasted just over a full day. I had an 8 pack of rechargeable batteries which worked well. Probably should have used a tripod or at least a monopod for the zoom feature. For the price is performed well. The picture below was taken from about 200 yards and seemed to be the limit of the camera. If there had been any motion I probably would not have been able to take the shot.

    As described
So far so good. Takes really nice pictures. It will reach out there and get it. You just need to read the book with it, and play with the settings to see which is best for you.

    Camera
I ordered this because I’m tired of everyone making me take pictures or taking my Samsung to take pictures. That said this arrived as described and on time. What appealed to me when ordering it was the abaility to take 20mp photos.Upon opening the box you are greeted with everything you need to start using right out of the box which I appreciate. I’ll admit this is my first ever Minolta product and I was genuinely surprised.Conversely, this is battery operated by 4AA batteries. I wish it would have had a rechargeable battery because the minute you open it to change the battery or remove the card the date and time are reset. The camera is light and feels a bit flimsy. The material used for it is nothing to be desired. Especially after noticing the dust left on it from my hands. Mind you I wasn’t outside working on anything I was just unboxing items.Moving on to its controls, you have your typical controls for settings, a power on/off button and your menu. Going through the menu is easy and straight forward. As for the pictures, I’m not an avid photographer most if not all of my photos are shot from my Samsung S23 or previous notes so my comparison is to everyone else’s IPhone photos which pale in comparison.Keeping that in mind, I found the quality of the pictures and it’s resolution to be as good as my current phone. It has a 20x zoom which performs well. The flash is not automatic, just lift it and it becomes accessible.Overall it’s a good little camera, especially if you are looking to use something other than your phone. That said I liken this to more of an intermediate level.I’m pleased with it and recommend it.

    A Perfect Start to Photography
I recently got my hands on this camera and I must say, it’s a nice piece of equipment! The camera is true to color, delivering vibrant and accurate images that are a delight to the eye. It comes with all the necessary accessories to use right out of the box, which is a major plus for beginners. The camera has a 20 Mega Pixels still image resolution and 1080p FHD video resolution, ensuring high-quality captures every time. The 26x optical zoom is impressive, allowing for detailed close-ups even from a distance. The 3.0 inch LCD screen provides a clear view of your shots, making it easy to frame your subjects perfectly. One feature that stood out to me was the WiFi with app integration. This makes transferring and sharing images a breeze. The camera uses standard SD memory cards and comes with a 32GB SD card included, providing ample storage for your photos and videos. It also uses 4 AA batteries, which are included in the package. If you prefer a standalone camera over your phone for photography, this is a great option. It’s user-friendly, high-quality, and offers a range of features.

    Rather large, ripped carrying case.
It was much larger than I expected. Also, the carrying case was ripped along the zipper. I sent the whole thing back.

Amazing definition and zoom, average focus speed
I’m a Nikon DSLR shooter for about a decade. I’ve owned dozens of cameras and taken hundreds of thousands of photos. With that experience, my assessment of this Minolta MN26Z is that the image quality can be top notch and the zoom is just amazing for a camera of this size. But to get the most out of this camera, you’ll want to use a tripod, and use it for shooting fairly still objects. I’ve given the wide and fully zoomed examples in the photos. More photos and video examples are available in the video. The weakness is that the auto focus can be slow, especially when the lens is zoomed out. And the image sensor is a little sensitive to big contrasts in light/dark. If you look where the sky or image highlights are overexposed in some photos, you’ll notice it. In the wider landscape photos the darker areas are underexposed. But the flower photos, for the most part, turned out amazing. It was difficult to get it to capture sharp photos of my cat when she was rolling around because it couldn’t lock focus fast enough. But the snoozing photo on the BBQ is taken from about 15-20 feet away and is amazing. This camera will perform best for you in controlled settings. If you’re doing product photography in a studio, you’ll be happy. But for catching pictures of the kids doing sports, it might not work as well. It takes 4 AA batteries. I recommend getting rechargeable batteries, so you can top them off when you’re done for the day.

Not a good camera, need a negative review -1
Horrible image quality outside, inside where the light is controlled by overhead lighting it’s good, but outside, oversaturated and just horrible, grain like images.
