Hands Down THE BEST FOOD TOYS
I’m super inlove with Learing Resources Toy Company. Theese food toys are super well made and such good quality. They are also super adorable! Best food toys out there. I like theese toys alot. I’ve already bought 2 other sets and absolutely love those as well. Since looking for food toys Learing Resources is my go to toys to buy for play food. We have a set from Melissa and Doug and they are nice but in my opinion not even close to how nice LR food toys are. M&D are wayyyyy over priced as well. Plus LR food toys are waaaaayyyyy cuter!!!! Only thing is some LR play sets are a little pricy then others but……. I do think it’s worth it. Theese toys arnt gonna break and they will last a loooong time. I do wish the tomato was a little bigger but it’s not a big issue at all. I’m soo happy with theese cute food toys . They are Amazing! I can’t wait to buy more. I’m 33 years old and I have so much fun with theese toys. They’re that freaking cute! I want more sets and definitely gonna buy more. My husband says…. No more chill out! It’s hard though cause theese toys are really cute and you get such a cute set and the sizes are BIG! I can’t say enough about this brand. Just buy them for your kids they will love them. I know I love them and so does my 5 year old son. Whenever I want more food toys I look for LR first!!! So many things to choose from. Cutest food toys ever!!! I’m addicted . Really Awesome toys! Okay I’m Done lol 🥰 ohhh wait….doesn’t come with a food tray that’s ours from home just in case somebody thinks this set comes with a food tray it does not.

Quality
As a teacher and mom of 3, this is my favorite brand of play food. The quality is great! I initially bought some for my older two in 2020 and it has held up amazingly. I just bought some more for my youngest. She absolutely loves it. It is realistic but still playful. It’s a little pricier than other brands but definitely worth it.

My daughters are 5, 3 1/2, and 15 months old, so we have bought and played with a lot of play food over the years, including Melissa & Doug’s wooden food. I am so glad I got this lunch basket for them- it is our favorite play food we have! The food is realistic looking, but made from good quality plastic that holds up well having three little girls pretending to cook it, serving it, and pretending to eat it (and two out my three tend to be really rough on toys). When the package first arrived, I surprised my girls with the baskets (lunch and dinner) and they immediately started playing with them. None of it is too small for my 15 month old to enjoy playing with as well. I also bought the dinner basket, and will be ordering the breakfast basket after writing these 2 reviews. Excellent product, good price, we are very pleased with this and can’t recommend it enough!

Very fun!
I really like this set. The colors are vibrant, the foods are hefty, and they are fairly realistic looking (for playfood). What’s really cool and not really mentioned by others is the basket that comes with the set. Very sturdy & similar to a real grocery store basket. One thing we did not receive was the activity guide, which I’m disappointed about.I wouldn’t say that all the foods are true to size but they are perfect for a toddler’s hands. And when my daughter gets tired of them (which I doubt she ever will) I plan to use them in my practice as an RD when I teach my patients about nutrition:) So a very fun & educational product!

Great Quality, Worth the Money
What a pleasant surprise when I received this set! I was searching for play food that was good quality (not super thin plastic) and “healthy” foods. We’ve been through two sets of cheap baskets of food from Wal-mart or wherever. You know the ones, some of the food is unrecognizable and the pieces are thin and tiny. Well, the Learning Resources Healthy Lunch Basket is amazing. Seriously. The foods are heavy plastic/rubbery and realistic! My boys (2 and 1 years old) both were excited to play with it right away! The pieces are not “life size” but the perfect size for little hands to play with – not ridiculously tiny either. I’m so impressed with the quality, I’m buying the other two baskets today. Spend the extra money for this set. It’s worth it.

I ordered this for my niece’s third birthday. It just came in the mail so I haven’t given it to her yet but I’m sure she will love it. I have a good first impression of this product. Items include: 2 wheat bread slices, 2 turkey slices, slice of cheese, slice of tomato, slice of lettuce, 4 small celery sticks, small grape bunch, orange, 2 pretzels, carton of milk, basket, Activity Guide.Pros:-Good quality-Realistic look-Good size for most pieces-Nice material/texture-Cute basket to store foodCons:-Wheat bread is a little dark-Grape bunch is on the small side-Tomato slice is on the small side-Didn’t come with the Activity Guide (expected this due to several other posts)Overall, I really like this product and would recommend it.

Lots of benefits…
My daughter has lots of play food, but this is by far the best. It gets her accustomed to associating fruits & vegetables with meals & snacks and making healthy food & drink choices more of a norm. I especially appreciate the wheat bread. Everyone pushes cheap, white bread on our kids, and I like that when she puts together a sandwich (made from really well made play food), she gets used to using wheat bread and adding nice green lettuce and bright tomatoes. We now have to have lettuce added to her Happy Meal burgers when we go to McDonalds, and I LOVE that! She also even has fun with the basket it all comes in when she plays grocery store (selecting fruits and vegetables, of course). Kids loose interest in their toys so quickly, but this is one she consistently plays with over and over again. I also highly recommend the breakfast and dinner sets, too. The quality in these toys far exceeds that of her other play food, making it really stand out from the rest. Two big thumbs up!
