Strikes the right balance of sturdiness vs weight and cost. Flexible design.
Lighter weight than solid metal laptop stands, and significantly sturdier than the spidery collapsible aluminum models. Sturdy enough for regular use, but still light enough for travel. The open design also provides improved airflow for laptops that run hot. The lip at the bottom holds my laptop securely. The instructions say this is for a maximum 15″ laptop, but I’m typing this on a 17″ Acer Chromebook in the stand and it feels plenty sturdy. At maximum angle of elevation (about 60 degrees), the stand puts the top of my laptop screen level with my eyes. This elevation is only practical with a separate keyboard. The lowest angle of elevation (without the foot flipped) is about 45 degrees, which is about the steepest angle for which I can still type on the laptops own keyboard. The stand also has a clever feature where you can flip the foot, raising the whole stand vertically while simultaneously lowering the angle of elevation. It provides flexibility in terms of positioning, but since it lifts the whole laptop vertically off the desk surface you again need an external keyboard.I’ve tried lots of different stands over the past seven years, and this is one of my favorites. It’s a nice balance of sturdiness vs weight, so it’s suitable for both home/office use and travel. My one wish is that it had a lower setting at the low end, say 30 degrees elevation, for those of use who are willing to trade off screen height against keyboard comfort when we don’t have an external keyboard. The 45 degree angle becomes hard on my wrists after about 15-20 minutes of consistent typing. But if your primary use of the stand is for more ergonomic viewing, or if you always use the stand with an external keyboard, then that won’t be a concern, so I’m not deducting a star for personal preference. The price is excellent compared to solid metal stands. Excellent value, especially if you want to have one for home, one for work.

No grip and not enough lower heights options
The product concept is great… But …1. Sleek finish sends laptop flying – no grip at all2. The height options are not low enough for the wrists to feel comfortable.3. The lowest position is too high for laptop monitor to show open all the way..Changes to accommodate lower height positions and add a rubber grip finish to the laptop contact area would change this rating to 5 stars

SO slim, sturdy; even holds my 16in MacBook Pro
I travel sometimes for work and I also have some neck issues, so I can’t use my laptop without a monitor or stand. But they’ve all been pretty bulky until I found this one. I am so happy with it that I’m using it at home too. There are several ways to use it, including angling it down so you can use the laptop’s keyboard, but my favorite is the next level higher up where you can get the computer at eye level. I use a wireless keyboard just below it and it’s like having a desktop computer. So far seems sturdy, although when you set it up make sure it’s properly/fully set into the grove you want. The small, flip stand that lifts everything to the higher, eye level can fall if you’re too rough placing the computer down on the stand, so watch for that too. But once it’s on there, it’s not going anywhere. When I’m done it just slips into my computer bag and it doesn’t add any significant weight or bulk to my bag. It’s actually thinner than my keyboard!Love this thing.

Would Like More Rubber Pads Where the Laptop Sits On
Lots of adjustment options. Nice and low profile when collapsed down for portability. The stand itself is stable at all adjustment points.Something I think it lacks are some rubber pads on the face of the stand where the laptop sits on. Using this with a 14″ laptop and the round rubber feet hangs over the stand so it is plastic stand on plastic body contact with some contact with the rubber on the lip. I fixed that up with some long strips of thin rubber grip tape making it feel a bit more secure.

    Very useful laptop stand
I admittedly was confused on how to unfold this laptop stand and use it initially, but once I figured it out (I did not read the instructions so that probably could have helped), I loved it. It’s sturdy and holds my laptop up without being unstable or wobbly. And folding it up is super easy. I love how it can store practically flat and easily slides under my monitor stand or in a desk drawer.

One of the better laptop stands I’ve used – well made and solid design
One of the better laptop stands I’ve had and portable because it folds up and fits easily into a backpack or suitcase.Well made and haven’t had any issues with it holding my laptop. Plenty of cutouts to let your laptop breathe (without good airflow, my laptop sounds like a jet engine!). Plethora of adjustment points for me to get the laptop to exactly how I want it. Well worth the money if you’re in the market for a laptop stand.

    Didn’t work for me
I was so excited to get this laptop stand and use it. I am always looking for optimal angles for my computer screen and my laptop is always a challenge. I thought this was the answer, but it’s not. My laptop did not stay on the stand, the ledge was not large enough or grippy enough to hold my laptop, and it wasn’t sturdy enough. My laptop is about 13″ but this stand did not provide any useful or helpful angles so I can work smarter.
