A great little toaster that provides even toasting.
Surprised and pleased that this toaster is really efficient and dependable . I have put it to the test everyday for two weeks and am pleased that once I set the toaster on 4 for unfrozen toast it is so evenly toasted . I like my toast a little darker and crunchy. I have used the frozen method as well and also used the 4 setting. I use bakery bread from the grocery store that is sliced in oval slices and they pop up just fine. It takes only a couple of toastings to get the hang of this new toaster. I like the smaller size and the black color that blends in. Just plain and simple and it works.

Great toaster/reasonably priced
Finally! a toaster that works right. I have tried a couple of other brand name toasters and my toast was never right and they couldn’t handle thicker bread/buns.This toaster is great. My bread is toasted just at the setting I put it on and it handles my buns. Very happy with my Amazon Basics toaster.

A Very Good Basic Toaster
You can’t go wrong here… this toaster handles thick and thin breads, english muffins and bagels. Controls are simple and easy to understand, no burnt toast by mistake. If I could suggest one improvementit would be to hot-stamp the dial control with a white or silver line because you really have to look close to see the little black on black raised indicator. But for the price… it can’t be beat.

Nice for being a basic 2 slice toaster
We really like the looks of this toaster. The silver front shines against the black sides. So simple to use. It will defrost frozen bread, toast a bagel or 2 pieces of toast. I like medium and partner likes dark toast but no problem in easily switching the button back and forth.I see the toasting area is large enough for any fat bagel I could toast.Nothing fancy but how fancy do you really need your toaster to be? My 4 slice huge toaster was failing to do anything but burn toast. Time for a new 2 slice to save counter space.So inexpensive too for Amazons basic toaster. If I get a year out of it, I’m a winner. I want it to last and see no problem. I’m just saying $23 isn’t a lot if I need a new one again.I’m thankful for the quick delivery. Ordered last night and it arrived this afternoon.

Works pretty well but feels cheap
Toaster heats quickly and the different settings work, although the defrost setting just seems to make my bread or bagel soggy and then harder to toast. It’s very lightweight and simple to use. Crumb pullout under the toaster is easy to do, but many crumbs never fall down through the openings on each side. I even delicately tried an art brush to push them down into the crumb pan but most of them wouldn’t budge. Instructions clearly say DO NOT turn upside down.

Excellent Toaster With Lots of Features
Purchased July 2025, Amazon Basics 2 Slice Toaster Silver Front style. Browning dial control works well. Toast always pops up, issue free. Wide slots accommodate thicker slices. Cancel button works. Have not used Frozen or Bagel settings. Pull out crumb drawer and bottom cord wrap are great features. For the price this is an excellent toaster so rating 5-Stars.

It’s basic. But let’s be real it’s a toad tee. Tech doesn’t change. It toasts the things, they are tasty. Easy to clean.
