quality construction and good programmable features
I work from home and I prefer preparing the food the night before so its ready on time and not get up early for it, so programming serve time is very useful. I don’t have much experience with slow cookers but the relatively simple recipe I did worked wonders! The meat, potatoes, and carrots weren’t too soft but far from being too hard – they were just right! Tasted very good and I noticed that about an hour or two before the designated time, it kicked slightly into a higher gear, as the temperature rose a bit and the scent spread throughout the house.Note that the dimensions specified in the video clip (first one) are incorrect. The dimensions specified on the product page are the correct ones.I am very happy with this slow cooker. I haven’t tried manual settings yet but since I had a good experience with programming it, I’ll stick to it for the time being.

Excellent product with quick shipping. I ordered from another company and received a broken lid and crock shipped in manufacturer’s original box with many holes in the box. Company said it was sending a replacement, but it had not shipped even before the last night of expected delivery. Being in a panic because it was to be a bridal shower gift a few days later, I placed this Amazon order late on a Monday night and the properly packaged item arrived Wednesday morning early. Very pleased with product and shipper. The bride to be was very happy with her new Crockpot. It is exactly the size she wanted and has the many features she wanted. Food is flavorful, tender, and ready whenever you set it for. Very pleased with this product although it is a bit heavy for elderly people to carry. It works well and cooks great.

Best of the Best in Slow Cookers
The Crock Pot brand has been around for decades and is a trusted name in the slow cooker market. I didn’t look at any other brands, just shopped the model options from Crock Pot. We chose this one for its unique feature of allowing you to set the time you want your dinner to be ready. No more trying to determine when to start it and counting the amount of hours on your fingers. You simply input the time you want it to be ready and it will adjust the temperature according to the type of meal being prepared. We have used this feature twice now and have had great results both times. It does add a few more buttons so the simplicity of the old fashion crock pot may be gone, but it is easy to learn and walks you through it on the screen. The large capacity and locking lid made this an easy choice for our needs. It’s a very nice model and highly recommended.

I bought this crockpot for my daughter. She works as a teacher and puts in many hours married with three children. She is able to put dinner in the crockpot before she leaves for work and like magic. Everyone gets to sit down and eat a good meal.

Stoneware bowl fell into pieces
UPDATE: CROCKPOT replaced it with another model cheaper than the one I ordered. Even though I requested from the beginning they ship to my grandson (where the gift was originally shipped as a gift, a 6+hour drive from me), they shipped it to my address. Received it today. Took it to UPS. Had to buy box (it was in the crockpot box which was damp from FedX delivery in rain) and ship it to my grandson – so it was $33 to ship ground (cheapest) & a box. So I now have over $100 in a $60 crockpot that isn’t the one I originally ordered. Unacceptable. If I could take away the one star, I would.This was a gift for my 30 yr old grandson. As he was unpacking it, lifting the stoneware bowl out, it fell to pieces in his hands as if it was a manufacturing defect. He could have seriously injured himself. He cleaned up & threw away the pieces, thinking perhaps we could order a new stoneware bowl for it. Amazon was great help & said it would be covered under crockpot warranty &gave me the crockpot warranty contact. I followed the link & filled out the warranty claim info, which was detailed, hard to enter the correct numbers per their description and sent pictures of the plug, serial # label, the front of the crockpot – very time consuming. I immediately got a claim number but I have not heard a word since. Don’t know if they are replacing it – nothing. Each family member & myself have always had a crockpot brand slow cooker. When these require replacement, we will go with another brand slow cooker since this one doesn’t inform the person filling the claim, or follow up on warranty claims.(Also, when filling out the time consuming warranty form, I had to choose another crockpot in case they decided to replace it, saying the one I had just bought was no longer available. Of the 3 choices they gave me, only one was available. I would’ve down graded to the simple “on/low/high/warm” model of they’d allowed a choice from all their models at or below the cost I paid.I DO HOPE AMAZON WILL PRINT THIS REVIEW AND CONTACT CROCKPOT ABOUT THIS ISSUE. AMAZON SHOULD STOP PROVIDING CROCKPOT WARRANTY INFO, AND CROCKPOT PRODUCTS, IF CROCKPOT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE IT TELLS AMAZON IT WILL PROVIDE. At a minimum, crockpot could send an email to me to update where the claim is in their process – if they have a process! I’ve been checking spam email folder and inbox 3-4 times a day to make sure I haven’t missed it. I’m ready to go to Target and purchase another brand and ship it UPS to my grandson who lives 6 1/2 hrs from me.Very disappointed!
