Completely unusable unless you’re wearing gloves
The 2 cup measuring cup I received has sharp points and edges on the bottom center, the handle grips and the spout. Since the cup is made of hard plastic (polycarbonate), these points and edges can cut one’s skin. I wouldn’t even be able to place it on my quartz countertop due to the rough bottom surface.I cannot recommend this measuring cup. In addition, I feel it’s deceptive for the company to have “Rubbermaid” in its name because this measuring cup seems very substandard.

I work on cars and I use this to measure fluids sometimes. I’ve used and abused the hell out of this thing, sprayed it with degreaser, brake cleaner, transmission fluid, oil, you name it, and this thing is holding up just fine. The markings are still there.

I wanted a measuring cup to keep by my Kitchen sink. This is not made of glass so we don’t need to worry about the ‘what the measuring cup falls in the sink” question. I can not have the “One Cup” Coffee Maker by the sink so I use this measuring sup to add water it. The measuring cup pours nicely and it is not heavy once filled with water or any liquid. For now, after the short time I have been using it, I would recommend this item to friends and family.
