Perfect!! Easy To Clean!! Works!!
The OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Strainer is perfect for me. It moves a little to the side of the opening, but the sink drain opening remains completely covered and no food ever goes down the drain. It is the easiest strainer to clean. There is no need to pick out tiny pieces with my fingers or a paper towel. I previously tried a stainless steel strainer that did not work for me. The food pieces would not tap out and even a paper towel and a brush wouldn’t remove the tiny bits. The stainless steel strainer is very nice looking, but the cleaning process was impossible. I used so many paper towels. No paper towels are ever needed with the OXO. I know this all probably sounds weirdly enthusiastic, but I cannot describe the amount of work the OXO has saved me every day. I don’t have to tap it over and over to try to get the scraps out. I don’t have to tap it on the trash can at all. I just gently pull or push the piece in the middle, and everything goes straight down into the trash can. Perfect!!

Love this sink drainer-strainer!
This sink drainer-strainer is really super. I read about it on Wirecutter’s site, where the reviewer raved about how great it was. I bought it, and the acclaim is real. This strainer is easy to use, easy to clean, and works really well. It is not a stopper, but it does keep food scraps from going down the drain while you clean your dishes. When you finish washing the dishes (or sometimes mid-way thru, depending on how much gunk is on your plates) you take the strainer and tip it upside down into the trash, maybe hitting it against the inside of the trash can for sticky stuff, or using the silicone handle to turn the strainer upside down and get anything left out. You put it back in the sink, and you’re ready for more action.

Our sink has a tendency to back up, and we are on a septic system, which limits our options for clearing the pipes. The sink’s perforated stoppers weren’t catching all the food particles from our pans and dishes, compounding the problem. This strainer gets it all and is easy to empty and clean.

Quality matters.
I’ve used a few different brand sink drain things. Although a couple have looked better with matching our fancy black faucet, this oxo one is BY FAR the best as far as function.Others might have a slight lip on the rubber making the last 1/8 inch of water not to drain (trust me it matters, stagnant sink water gets gross fast), or they dont clean right or stain.This oxo sink drain cover is perfect , ALL the water drains and its incredibly stain resistant (if you’re some sort of psycho that never cleans their sink drain cover you’re going to want this even more). It works well.The rubber part will clog up if you never empty it, but thats more common sense than item specific as all sink drain covers clog if not cleaned.

Not much to say, but these products are like the Swiss Army knives of the kitchen, reliable, and they don’t smell like a gym sock! I bought a few, and they’re still hanging around like that one friend who never leaves. Perfect for everyday kitchens, unless you’re cooking for a vampire, then you might need something a bit more garlicky!

finally found a sink strainer that fits my sink drains perfectly, its great quality too, with a stainless steel rim. previously I had one that did not cover the sides of my drain and waste and scraps were going straight down blocking the drain this stops all that and it all gets captured into the silicone strainer that makes it so easy to throw its contents into the bin. I tried other sink strainers none of them would fit these are the only ones that would. its quite deep so you need to measure the depth of the drain to the drain fitting.
