Simply AMAZING quality – your child will adore this set!
Wow we were really blown away by the quality of this set! This is not your generic play food set, this is so much better! This was our first purchase from Learning Resources and we absolutely love it. My (almost) 3-year-old is utterly obsessed! Judging by the quality of this set (again, impressive), I’m sure we’ll be life-long fans of this company’s products. So that being said, here are a few things about this item that I love:1) They have varying textures/weights/materials for different foods. Sounds odd but trust me, it’s so cool. For ex – blueberries are shiny and raspberries are matte. Some items are flexible; others, like the apple & strawberry are more lightweight and give a tiny bit under firm pressure (meaning they’re soft, with a foam-like texture); the pretzels & carrot feel quite firm and are solid/heavy. Interesting variation. Colors are very nice too! Colorful and vibrant but not obnoxiously bright. Colors are quite accurate.2) Great detail! (Please see pics)3) They all have a nice weight to them and aren’t hollow. (Except the bread is kinda hollow but still has a nice weight to it.) BONUS – the basket has really nice handles! Not all filmsy and cheap. Feels nice to hold.4) I can tell it’ll hold up. Other cheap thin plastic play food sets will get dented or crushed (if your child is particularly strong like mine) but nope not these, they’re built to last it appears. :)Cons? None really..1) Minor chemical smell that dissipated after I washed all items off with a damp cloth, as directed on the packaging.***note: I wish this company made some vegan friendly food sets since I struggled to find one that reflects our family’s diet (not containing meat, dairy or eggs.) The yogurt I can call “soy yogurt” but I have to tell my son the turkey slice is tofu or else he would cry. I love the materials used for these toy foods
Man, I am so impressed by these! This is the only Learning Resources product I own, but it will be the first of many!My almost two year old daughter was so stoked when I gave this to her. I love the materials used for these toy foods. It is somewhat addicting holding and squeezing different items… they are so fun! The makers of this toy definitely thought out the details of each food item. Even the basket is solid and good quality. This set is not going to break or fall apart. Vibrant colors and good representations of real life food (smaller than actual size, but I think that works better for little hands).I have seen the Melissa & Doug food toys and honestly, I think the Learning Resources one is way better! Now I just need to buy all the toy food sets.

Great play food set
High quality play food. Much more realistic looking than all the cheap plastic stuff you find from other brands. Love that there is actually healthy food and not just the junk food included with most play food sets. My daughter spends hours playing with it.

Bought this for my toddler for Christmas. Great quality! My kiddo is going to love this!

I love that this brand of play field is made of a quality rubber material. We have had some other brands that are made of a thin plastic that have not lasted long, or are easily dented. I highly recommend these for your own kids or your classroom!
