    Compact Reference Monitors
I’m pleased with the JBL Reference Monitors. I use this with my Rode Podcaster Pro Mixing Board connected with two TRS Cables. I have them connected to my iMac via Bluetooth. They have a small footprint and are designed to sit on a desk. Hook-up was easy. The sound is crisp and and clear. These are designed for reference, not entertainment sound–so you’re not getting much bass or modified sound. It’s nice to have several input capabilities. You switch between inputs by pushing the selector button. The markings on the indicator are a bit small but it’s not a big drawback. The volume control and selector switch have a good solid feel to them.So I’m a happy camper. I was a bit concerned that these were available before the release date listed on other sites; however, the box indicates US and I had no problem registering the product with JBL. I’m not sure about if they would honor the warranty since Amazon is not list, but I doubt if I would have any issues with the speakers. They work great and I don’t play them at extreme levels. So I recommend them and I believe the asking price make them a good value.

    Really nice desktop monitors
These are very fine desktop monitor speakers:Pros:They look awesome (I have the white pair, but they come in black as well). The design, while reminiscent of a giant suppository, stands out visually. They are SOLID. Everything about them feels very secure — so probably, no rattling problems will occur.I doubt they are made of wood (not in that shape!) and whatever material they are using for the enclosure feels solid and firm. They sound very CRISP, CLEAR, and have a good thumping bass. The mid-range is a bit hollow at first, but as the speakers age and condition, this should work itself out. I think it is common to all NEW speakers and even headphones. They have plenty of volume, no problems there. They have excellent stereo separation, making a wide stereo sound stage, even when only a few feet apart.Hook-up was easy. They come with speaker wire, a power cable and a 3.5mm male to two RCA male (red and white) cable to connect to a computer. They also have 1/4″ TRS type inputs, as well as Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm input jack on the front, as well as a muting headphone jack. I haven’t tried the bluetooth, so I don’t know how they perform, with it.CONS:None really. They could sound a bit warmer, but that will come in time through use.OVERALL:A great set of speakers at an affordable price for computer studio monitors.Great for mixing music and vocals into a video.I like them.

Buy the best – don’t buy anything else…
I know some of the stuff they sell here is cheaper. Don’t send Chinese speakers back to AMAZON. They don’t like it much, and we all pay more money because of it.A quick story. JBL was founded by James Bullough Lansing (1902–1949), an American audio engineer and loudspeaker designer best known for establishing two audio companies that bear his name, Altec Lansing and JBL, the latter taken from his initials. He still has plants all over, including here in Los Angeles, where he started his first company, End of story – back to review. You are an adult now. When you buy junk, you know it. If you are looking for a professional set of speakers for your home, I promise, you’ve found it.JBL104 Reference monitors are compatible with most desktop and laptop computers, as well as home or professional recording equipment.Three sets of inputs allow connection with professional equipment, personal music players and consumer devices.Front-panel input control selects Bluetooth, aux, RCA, TRS or combines all inputs.Front-panel volume control and headphone jack with speaker mute feature.Reference mixes via Bluetooth 5.0 streaming.Proprietary coaxial driver combines 4.5-Inch (118 mm) woofer and .75-Inch (19 mm) soft-dome tweeter for transparency and wide sweet spot.Integrated 60-watt Class D power amplifier; 30 watts distributed to each speaker.Master monitor includes electronics for the extension monitor, minimizing wiring and clutter.Available in black (104-bt) and white (104-btw) variants.Purchase includes: JBL104-BT Reference monitors (pair); 1x extension monitor speaker wire (2-Conductor, 2 meters); 1x 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable; 1x power Cord; 1x quick setup guide. These are really, really good speakers. They can make a lot of sound for your Bossa Nova parties. They are just incredible for when you and your lover want to listen to a romantic Frank Sinatra.Yes, they will play Led Zeppelin better for your kids than you heard it when you were a kid.I bought all the cheap foreign nonsense. You’re an adult now. Spend the extra $20 and get the best.Only the best, made right here in the USA. Three thumbs up. Add to cart.

I thought it will come with 2 type of power plug, but only 1 found in the box.

I didnt want to spend a ton of cash on studio monitors for when I compose music to listen back to in ordinary environment. I watched/read tons of comparisons between the JBL and the ILoud Micro and after listening to a few samples decided that the extra (almost double) cost just didn’t warrant it. So I ended up getting the JBL and man am I pleased with the result these little beauties give – honestly for the price I didn’t expect a whole lot but as long as it let me listen to playback and general music then I would be happy – well they far far exceeded my expectations and can highly recommend them. If you have a small room and just need decent playback better than PC speakers then these will truly deliver – If you have a large room and need true Monitor speakers then probably the ILoud IN would be worth the cost. Great value I think the JBL are.

Power cord had loose fit but once connected worked OK. I have a number of nearfield monitors (Monsoon, Yamaha,Dynaudio) I just wanted some cheap speakers for the deck and these work for that application If you need higher build and sound quality look elsewhere.
