I loved this set, i have owned several and this has been my favorite so far but shortly after I got it the salt grinder stopped working. I missed the 30 day return menu. If you purchase this item beware of the very short return window. The pepper mill still works great. I think I just got a dud on the salt shaker.Edit: the company reached out to me and were very kind and sent a replacement set. I still say over the years this is the best set I have owned and I have owned at least 4 different ones, the way it fits into your hand, it feels very sturdy, it starts automatically to grind the items as soon as you turn it upside down. And it has an automatic light. I highly recommend

Bad motor?
Edit: Finally had time to give another review. Received a prompt replacement for the faulty dispenser I had previously purchased and I absolutely love, love, love it! Being able to change the coarseness of the peppercorn brings in a whole new level to any dish I make with this automatic dispenser. Not only does the texture adds to the flavoring of the dish, but it also makes certain dish aesthetically more appealing as well. 😋😋 I 100% recommend this product!!Got this as a little gift for my s/o. When we had finally put it to use, we quickly realized the the black grinder wasn’t working as well as the white one. Thinking it was due to the contents inside, we switched the tops, but ended up with the same results-the black grinder was significantly slower than the white one. This was well past the return date. Kind of sad because this could’ve been perfect had we opened it up when it was delivered and realized the defect in time.

Feels good and sturdy. Looks like it’s made out of good materials. Wish it had more weight on the bottom, tips kinda easily. The salt one stopped working. I use mostly the pepper, almost every day, and it works great. The salt one I barely use, maybe once a month, because I use a lot of seasoned salts, but now it stopped working. Tried emptying it out, adjusting the coarse setting but it doesn’t even make a noise. Probably just got a defective one since the pepper is still going strong with a lot of use. Tried new batteries and nothing.***UPDATE***Apparently I just had a defective unit, customer service contacted me and sent me a new one. It’s actually an improved version with the hole for the salt and pepper to get grinded is bigger resulting in faster grinding. Great product. Still wish it had more weight on the bottom to be harder to tip over but then I’m just being picky lol.

Salt corrosion
I like the function and style of these shakers. Not too big, and has a plentiful reservoir. The pepper mill works good. There’s been no issues, and I’ve replaced the 4 AAA batteries only a couple times over a year. The salt shaker has issues that could have been foreseen and compensated due to corrosion issues. There’s a low quality plating on the battery connections, and it would require repeated removal of the cover to re-establish a good contact to where the shaker would stop working completely. The rust in the connection is not easily fixed, and you can’t take the unit apart to address it; without significant risk to breaking the housing. I only wish they would have better sealed the connections for battery box or made the plating a better quality -considering the significant salt-dust environment.

After reading several reviews and comparing with other similar items, this set suits me best.1. it’s single hand use so there is no need to remove any covers (like some other brands have) or if one hand is dirty from marinating, let’s say2. The capacity and bottle opening is large enough to refill without me plus it’s not made of glass so no worries of breaking it accidentally.3. The cable really is fast charging.4. Comes with a slim cleaning brush.Going to recommend to my family and friends.
