Great 2K camera with smart tracking!
This Arlo camera is fantastic! The 2K video is clear, and the pan/tilt feature covers a wide area. Person and package detection work really well, and motion tracking is smooth. Setup was easy, and the app is intuitive. Some features need a subscription, but overall it’s an excellent security camera.

These Cameras Do Not Work in the Arlo App
I have five other Arlo cameras (varying models of varying generations) and this model has problems. It just does not work. Set up was easy but connection is random, takes forever, and drops after a second or two… EVERY TIME. I tried different routers and different locations to no avail. The still picture quality is good but I can’t test any other features as this pan and tilt camera simply does not work.I’ll be returning these cameras and because of the problem I’ve had with them, I may replace my other five Arlo cameras with something new. I don’t want to mix manufacturers in my security setup.Follow-Up: I’m holding off on sending these cameras back. I contacted Arlo support and they were excellent. They get five stars. They worked with me on my problem for a couple of hours and were knowledgeable and technically competent. The problem was eventually isolated to Arlo’s Android app and the case was escalated. I got a call back today that the problem has been identified and is affecting a range of customers. A solution is being engineered. I will be contacted when the solution is released and I will post an update.Interestingly, the cameras appear to work fine in a web browser, just not the Arlo app, so if you don’t plan to use the Android Arlo App, you would probably be pleased with these cameras.

Decent for the money.
I moved up from a 1080p Arlo system to this, so already the video quality is night and day. And the motion detection is far superior as well.As far as this particular model so far it connected easily and after a minute of playing around I had it set up and mounted on a wall facing my driveway next to the old camera. It was easy to see even in a static position that this was a better viewing angle and picture. But I’d often thought of adding a second camera to cover the other side of the driveway and this is where the unit shines. I made a preset for each direction and a home spot in the middle. Now I can see everything I need to quickly and easily. The motion detection seems to start before something comes into frame which is awesome, as my old cameras sometimes missed half the surveillance or started when someone was already walking/driving away. Yeah, the movement is a little janky, but it’s a super cheap motor and mount attached to a pretty decent camera. And for the price I think it’s a great value. We’ll see how the PTZ portion holds up, but for a super easy to use system in an app I already was familiar with this is a big upgrade, and any qualms I have about the build quality or performance are stifled by the price.

Great security camera
I have been using Arlo security cameras for a long time now, I love their systems! This one specific it really surprised me! It is as easy to install as always, great image quality at all times even at night, but it surprised me how much it covers. This one tilts 180 and swirl 360!!! So you can see the whole room or area with one camera! That is absolutely insane! I also love that it captures and follow movement! It connects with Alexa and Google home just fine, it is a small device, and has sooo many functions I am yet learning them all! Great device!
