Pretty Decent Monitors!
OK, keep your expectations in check here. These are inexpensive nearfield monitors, and I wouldn’t recommend them for a real project studio or above (as in if you’re recording a band, doing mastering, etc.). But for my “Studio C” – used for product development, engineering, testing, and etc., they are just fine, perhaps for the simple reason that I didn’t have space for larger monitors in this location. Nonetheless, sound quality is very good, as is imaging, and they actually had too much bass in the center EQ position (on the back) – having to reduce the bass on such tiny woofers was surprising. I also boosted the treble a little, which suits my ears. Anyway, nice monitors for the price. If you need larger nearfield monitors, I would consider the next models up in this line. For “real” monitors, though, you’re looking at many times the price, and such may be required (I use JBLs, Yamahas, and Tannoys for this case – again a lot more bucks involved). But for the price of a decent PC-class speaker set, you could do much worse than the BX4s. I know, I’ve tried.BTW – nicely packaged! Double boxed, great packing, and the required cables are included.

Problem Solved – How to turn off the speaker
I usually don’t write review but since I saw quite a few reviews mentioning that the speakers does not have an off switch, I’m here to say that you CAN Turn off the speakers.. To turn off the speakers, you have to turn the Volume all the way down until you hear it click (off) and the LED power light indicator will turn off.. I found this by accident honestly.. I went to turn the volume all the way down and I guess I turn it down harder than usual and I hear it click and the LED light turned off.. I think I had this speaker for about 2 months and like everyone else, I didn’t think the speaker did not have an off switch and knowing how sensitive electronic knobs are, I did not apply a lot of pressure when turning the volume down. However, I unintentionally turn the volume down with more pressure than usual and voilà, the speaker turned off.. I hope this helps someone who is considering on buying this speakers and saw review regarding being able to turn off the speakers.. Oh, and it’s a great set of speakers too.. Well worth it!

Works well for my situation
As I am more formally building out my video editing suite, I wanted something more than computer speakers but wasn’t completely sold on the need for going over the top right now. I have taken over a small bedroom in my house and knew that my larger speakers that were in my office space would not be appropriate for this sized room. The M-Audio speakers work well and are clear and capable for listening to audio near field and across the room. No issues. Easy to setup with the convenience of being able to switch which side the master speaker is on. I specifically was not looking for Bluetooth speakers as the radio delay is problematic when editing video or even weirder, the line input of several speakers that I had tried in the past had a delay with Bluetooth enabled speakers!? Still scratching my head on that. These are great for not breaking the bank and getting good quality sound without all the whizz bang extras.

Good sound but problematic
Non bluetooth version. So these do sound good, but they havn’t been great. They have an auto sleep mode that is supposed to turn off when any audio plays… but i’ve found that doesnt work very well. You can start playing audio and it may never turn on. Manually power cycling the speakers sometimes gets it. I Use the balanced TRS ports on the back so it’s pretty annoying they function like this. The second issue is the super thin jumper cable between both speakers doesn’t work well either. It may drop audio going to the second unit, and if you wiggle the cable at all you can hear it losing the connection. There is not an alternative connector. Sometimes the speaker will just lose the second unit. I’d return it if I hadn’t missed the window. There is no way to keep sleep mode off. Some people suggested just always playing audio at a tone you cant hear but that feels very impractical and not a real solution.

Wonderful PC speakers
I had purchased Creative Pebble speakers as a place holder when I did a PC build in 2020. They were adequate but I wanted a larger sound stage to be more immersive. After a few weeks of research, reading reviews, listening to some audio tests (with a grain of salt in my ears) I decided on these for a few reasons. Price to performance and clarity of sound. I did not what I consider muddy sound with base overwhelming all sound. These were a great purchase and have greatly improved the gaming experience, listening to music and consuming video content as well. In games the sound stage was such an improvement several in games such as CP 2077 and Tomb Raider series was like a new introduction to the audio aspects of the games. Highly recommended for such use. Very I happy I went with these over Audio Eng A2+.Pros: Good balance of base and treble which can be adjusted. Front facing headphone jack port, Option for RCA or TRS connection for L/R channels. True stereo sound immersion (turn Char head left, sound from right speaker only, turn head right, sound from left speaker in-game. )Dimensions can fit easily with limited space and a 3.5″ Sub with 1″ tweeter. Build quality at price point (MDF except for front as it feels for the front panel).Cons: Would prefer High / Low adjustment on front of speaker or the side.

Per il loro scopo da essere monitor per suonare e per il prezzo di 90€ (quanto le ho pagate ora io), il prezzo base di 130 o 140 € probabilmente il giusto 4 stelle a essere cinici 3. sono un giusto rapporto qualità e prezzo, non aspettatevi casse di livello professionale e produrre musica a livello professionale, ovvio che non sono per studio professionale o per studi che hanno strumentazioni e mixer di un certo livello, ma per un primo studio home, appartamento o camera, vanno più che bene e hanno anche potenza e la costruzione è ben realizzata, e al contrario di quello che ho letto reggono bene anche una chitarra e varie distorsioni nel loro, ovvio che devono essere associate a una scheda audio funzionate, in questo consiglio una scheda sempre m audio, m audio air ci sono di vari tipi con un ingresso fino arrivare anche a otto, ma come schede per il prezzo è che sono schede da media qualità suonano abbastanza bene… io posso parlare di GarageBand. ogni suono che ha programma non ci sono mai fischi o rumori che sono davvero invalidanti allo scopo di suonare la chitarra.
