4.5 stars -The lights arrived in great shape with no defects.The functionality of the light works well in terms of color, settings, etc.The sizing is very convenient and the light, itself, is nice and powerful for my targeted application of amateur promo photography (using smartphone).The lighting settings worked well to custom-dial in the needed flesh tones in the promotion.Battery charge – the unit worked well for both the 2 hour session…and double-duty as a work light for set teardown. The charging time was quick.The spring clip is definitely catered to smart phone only. I used it on lighting stands for a promo photo shoot, and the clip worked, but in terms holding any kind of precise angle, it was a little tough.Overall – it’s a well-made light. A future revision (to the manufacturer) would be to include other mounting options as accessories for minor upcharge. I’d pay it and you’d make a little more money from the buyer.

My friend showed me this after she brought it to my Halloween party last year, and it was so bright and powerful that it looked like studio ready lighting. I have bought three of these now because honestly setting them up around a table and just clipping it onto things is so easy that it makes me want to create content.The battery life is reasonable for how bright the light is and in consideration to the price. I don’t know how long these lights will last but I know that I have had mine for at least five months now and they’re all working fine, but I don’t use them on the daily.They’re also very lightweight and although it kind of feels like cheap plastic, it just works really good as a light and I know I can depend on it but because of the battery life, I think it’s important to have a back up.

Nice little clip-on light for projects
I use this light to help me with my electronics projects. It is not perfect, but it does what I expected for the price. I use it to look into cases, but I also use it to take quick little videos in low-light conditions, inside cases, by attaching it to my phone.Pros:* Very portable – Easy for me to clip this light into something and use it, which is the main reason I got it.* Brightness – There is 10 brightness levels, it gets plenty bright.* Color modes – You can adjust the warmth or coolness of the light.* Battery – Lasts several hours or more depending on how much light you output.* Easy to Use – The buttons to swap settings are adequate.Cons* Lack of color filter/RGB – If you need this as an advanced photography light, it only has the basics.* Grip – The clip only grips onto thin surfaces well, not thicker devices. I knew this before buying it though.* Charging – It does not charge superfast, but its good enough for when I need it.* Heat – It can get hot over an extended period of time, but its more a problem if your hands remain too close to it.

For photography and video it is useful in conditions where there is not enough light, such as filming a birthday inside an area with very dim lights and given the brightness and number of LEDs, it will provide far more brightness than the LED included on your smart phone, allowing for greater coverage and distance. After putting this light through the ringers, I’m left more than impressed with it.The clip is strong, and it connected to the shoe of my Canon R8 easily enough. It snaps into the light with a very satisfying click, and allows you to mount the light in either a portrait or landscape orientation. The retention screw is snug enough that you can easily angle the light up and down with your hand and it will firmly hold that angle in place (I haven’t yet had to adjust this screw to tighten it, but I will note that it will probably require a screwdriver to adjust as I can’t get it to move with just my fingers).There is a very noticeable range of color temperature between a cooler blue and a warmer yellow. The brightness options are also noticeable, although I do wish it offered an even greater range as even the dimmest option available can feel pretty bright.The good news is despite the stronger brightness of the dimmest option, the battery will still last it a ridiculously long time. One of the first tests I did was just to turn it on and leave it on, and after 19 hours it was still going strong – though down to the last bar of its 4 bar battery indicator. Considering my camera only uses smaller LP-E17 batteries, this light is easily going to outlive several battery swaps and will likely last an entire (literal) day of shooting before needing its turn at a charger.
