Large capacity backpack insert
Nicely made and allows access to the camera when in a traditional backpack due to the way the front lid is made to fold open. Using it with an Osprey 34L Stratos. It is a panel opening pack. A top loader will make it difficult to get to gear without taking the whole thing out of the backpack. It just fits from font to back. There is room on top for other gear/ clothes etc. It is deep enough for most larger cameras. The dividers are pretty good but soft but seem to do the job very well. The smaller version seemed too small and cramped but this is almost too much. Should easily hold a camera with lens, 2 more lenses and a few other things or a flash. Really depends on the type of gear you plan on bringing.

Medium is the new Large
Its BIG. Seriously – its ginormous. I ended up returning it because it wouldn’t fit in my Talon 33 – or any other backpack really.

Works great with other Osprey packs!
This pack is small but mighty! We purchased this to keep my camera gear safe while riding in a larger Osprey pack (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTTPXGQR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1). I have a lot of long lenses and my husband was able to get them to fit in the pack. It does not have its own straps for carrying, but it will fit nicely in a larger (ie 34L or bigger) backpack.

Why isn’t this called the “Large”?
Good build quality, but comically large unless you’re using a massive backpack. This should be called the “Large” model with a size between this and the small cube. It basically fills my entire Osprey Manta 34 backpack. Like the small model, it’s overall good build quality and seems like it could take a hit, but overall it’s just too big.

Fits 2 bodies and 4 lenses
I can fit two camera bodies and four small to medium size lenses. Just what I needed for my 32 L Osprey Mira backpack.

To big
This took up most of my backpack space, perhaps the small would be best.

Good bye dedicated camera gear backpacks
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was tired of buying dedicated camera backpack only to be disappointed with lack of comfort. I decided to go back to hiking backpack and I am very familiar with Osprey’s suspension system and how comfortable carrying gear with their packs when hiking and backpacking. I got this along with Stratos 34 for my Dolomites trip. It was the best decision I made as the pack was carryon allowed and I was not miserable carrying a lot of camera gear on my hikes.

I wanted to love it
TLDR: if you’re only looking to stow your equipment, it’s great. If you’re trying to pack this with any amount of gear for more than a day hike, it’s far too large for even a 60L pack.I love Osprey products and have used numerous packs of varying design and size across the US, but I don’t like this product quite as much as others. The construction is top notch quality and the first trip I used the camera cube on was in a tropical storm. None of my gear was wet afterwards and the cube held its rigidity throughout. The issue I have is actually with the size. I bought the medium to fit a Sony A7R3 with a 70-200mm attached, which it does great. I had to pack mine in a Volt 60 (previous model to the current one) in order to have a 3L hydration bladder and the cube and after trying various methods, I personally feel that I have to use a 60L pack for two day trips with my photography gear. With the cube inside an Archeon 45, there’s about the same room; however, the front access zipper makes stowing and retrieving much easier. This is a great product, but the size is a huge hurdle for me. I can’t see myself using this much at all with any significant amount of distance to cover and will likely try the small size out. If this was about 2/3 the width, I think it’d be about perfect.

I’ve been searching 20 years for something that served as a backpack insert and protected my gear they way I needed. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.I do alot of back country hiking/hunting/horse riding… I’ve gone through so many backpacks /camera bags / camera pouches etc over the years looking for something that protected my gear the way I needed it to and allowed for functional use of the rest of the backpack. This the Best camera storage insert on the market by far!I do not own an osprey backpack that this is designed to go inside, but it works well in both my kuiu frame packs, my kuiu day pack, my northface pack, and on its own as a camera case for my vehicle. Fits my nikon d850 with a tamron 150-600 telezoom attached, 4 smaller focal length lenses, external flash, shot gun mic, and extra batteries… loads of room.I will probably purchase the smaller version as well for occasions when I don’t want to take the big zoomy lens or just take less in general.Quality of the bag itself is great, nice medium hard shell, excellent adjustable spacers inside, good padding and the attachment points that it has on it for strapping it into an osprey pack work just fine for my other pack brands with interior holds.Hands down excellent product, and the price is quite fair.
