priceless knowledge in a very accessible format
THis book is well thought out, and topics presented, from an overview of the body – muscles, skeletal, nervous systems and brain, to how precisely stretching works for every part of the body. Loaded with practical exercises for every part of the body, as well as for a holistic perspective – its lovely to see famiilar yoga exercices from a stretching and joint/muscle/tendon/ligament angle. The illustrations are incredible, the font is very readable, not too much information on any page, yet full of goodness. Lovely layout and size. Kudos to Dr Leada Malek for such a gift to humanity.

Wonderful drawings
I am not a professional. The book is incredibly infirmary and the illustrations are fantastic. My wife, a massage therapist, didn’t really bother with it until she actually saw the drawings and the stretches. Got it to take care of my old body. Had to buy a second copy since the first one seems to have disappeared. Lol. Very useful. Good value. It seems somewhat difficult to find. I think my original copy came from the UK. With the wait.

Buen libro en general
Me gustaron mucho las ilustraciones , creo que la introducción a la ciencia del estiramiento está bien para una introducción y es muy clara, si estás dedicado a la industria del deporte no sé si este libro es el ideal. Me hubiera gustado que se incluyeran muchos más ejercicios y técnicas de estiramiento estáticas y no estáticas como ser PNF, CARs o PAILs, al menos mencionarlas como corrientes nuevas en la mejora del ROM como posibles alternativas. Me pareció interesante que se incluyeran las técnicas de gliding que generalmente solo se encuentran en terapias como la de McKenzie, y me parecieron muy simples de implementar aunque estaría bueno advertir un abordaje cuidadoso y prevenir la suspensión de dichaa técnicas si hay dolor irradiado. Por último y luego de ejecutar todos los estiramientos estáticos del libro puedo decir que salvo los ejemplificados para el estiramiento de los flexores del antebrazo el resto me parecieron fácilmente entendibles.

I’ve had more than one book on stretching, but this one is by far the best. Easy to follow directions broken down into steps. Very detailed explanations of what each stretch is for and how it helps. I especially like that it gives options depending on your level and ability.
