I ordered this because I liked what I saw and the possible functionality of the product. After seeing it and feeling it, I like it even better. The spoon is soft like a silicone spoon the can scrape the inside of a container and get every last bit of whatever you want to get out. The other side is stiff and can spread stuff like peanut butter or anything that needs you to be able to add a bit of pressure while spreading. I also like that it is a nice width to spread whatever nicely.I getting onto Amazon and ordering another one of these gadgets!

Practical tool for sourdough!
Great tool! I use it everyday to feed my sourdough starter. Comfortable and long handle. Love that the spatula side is silicone and can easily reach corners of jar.

Strong, sleek, super!
Purchased in the “Small” (8”). I just finished writing four reviews of products I couldn’t give more than 3 stars to; maybe I am super picky but lately so much of what I buy ends up really disappointing me. But this dandy little tool from Tovolo is not one of them! So far I have exclusively used it to scrape out whatever deliciousness is lurking under my mini food processor’s blades or for stubborn/thicker foods on the sides of the bowl. It is very stiff and rather narrow and so if you’re looking for something more flexible or with a wider footprint, I’d recommend just sticking to a true spatula. But since I have oodles of bendy utensils, ones I grab more to aid in guiding/pouring rather than true scraping, a small and firm ‘pusher’ was definitely needed for my kitchen. I have *not* attempted to slice with it nor have I used it for spreading anything—I admit I tend to use a dedicated tool for each of those specific jobs. But if you’re low on kitchen tools and want more bang for the buck, this certainly would fit the bill as a multi-tasker. (I am a little confused why this is rated as a #1 Tovolo tool for “ice cream scoopers” as this it isn’t the thing I would personally choose out to scoop ice cream. Multi-tasker and very, very handy? Yes! To replace a traditional ice cream scooper? Probably not. But removing every little nibble of peanut butter left in the jar? Oh, this tool is made for it!)The quality is excellent, it didn’t arrive with any off putting odors like so many things these days do, and is sized perfectly for my needs (the Small version is just 8” so make sure you note the dimensions). I’ve run it through the dishwasher with no problems. Very happy with the purchase and foresee having this a long time! Also, an absolutely perfect stocking stuffer for any cook, young or old!

Way better than all others!
I didn’t need this when I purchased it, but I’m sure glad I did. Great for mixing my sourdough starters and cleaning the sides of the jars. Just as good when mixing up doughs and scraping the sides of the bowls. It’s super beefy quality especially for the price. I love this thing so much, I bought 3 more, and the smaller one too. Really superior product, and quality. Also, super easy to grip when using and clean up is super easy.

I actually want to use it for other kitchen tasks too—but I’ll need to buy another one because I’m a stickler for keeping things separate and avoiding cross-contamination.The tool is sturdy, and I really appreciate that each end is different—it’s like having two tools in one, even though it’s just a single piece. One side is great for scraping down the sides of bowls, and the other is perfect for mixing my starter.I got the large size, and it is absolutely perfect. It works incredibly well in my 1-liter Weck jars, which I use for my starter. The shape and length make it easy to reach the bottom and mix thoroughly without making a mess.It’s easy to use and just as easy to clean. I especially love that it’s dishwasher-safe, which is a huge bonus since most of my other sourdough tools are wooden and require more care.
