It is an unlocked phone. It doesn’t seem to be baked in with a carrier firmware either. Did not unlock the bootloader or unlock the OEM though. I don’t see a ROM I want for this phone to load a custom OS. But the selling point was the Bluetooth feature. As a person who wears Cochlear Implants and needs specific Bluetooth compatibility, I’d say this has superior Bluetooth connectivity. I can’t emphasize enough on the Bluetooth it’s like having the right spec to be compatible and doesn’t break up connectivity in the pocket so I can listen to music. The phone takes great pictures and it is very capable with a 5G cellular network and wifi 6 connection. The phone is fast and impressive in what it does in the hand it seems we could run it like a computer desktop but will not do that though. I paid for the mobility, Bluetooth, and ease of use. My last phone was Google Pixel 4a without 5G and it was okay. Was going to get another Pixel phone but Google kept screwing up all their newer versions of their phone with their Bluetooth they can’t seem to get that quality control right. I got this phone refurbished and it was a good deal it came with no scratches and came with a USB cord and a wall outlet charger.

Great phone!
The phone that was sent to me is so good, you would think its brand new! It came secure, in a white box with bubble wrap. The phone works perfectly, not a single scratch. I’ve had it for a few months, and everything still works perfectly. It was factory unlocked, so it was super easy to link my phone number to it. The phone doesn’t heat up, works fast, and has the latest one ui update with no issues.

Fantastic like new phone!
I just upgraded from my S21 that I purchased from Amazon renewed that lasted 4 years of abuse. I don’t see the need to buy a newer phone.Pros:-Great condition, like new.-unlocked dual SIM model-fast shipping, 1 day early!Cons:-provided adapter slow charged, I only use OEMor good brand chargers and cables. I suggest you get a good quality new cable Atleast.-packaging was torn and had minimal protection against shipping damage.

No sim trayNo support: The number they provide here is actually Samsung support and they will not give support since the phone was bought used.Cell connected one time to T-Mobile 5G UC for one day. Since then, will not connect to 5G UC. T-Mobile has tried all day. I even drive to their best 5G UC coverage. Test area in TN. Nothing

Second time the charm
Update: I tried again. This phone appears to be functioning perfectly. (Seems like it was supplied by a different “renewer” than the first one.) A couple very minor dings around the rim of the phone body, but can’t even see them because I use a case.Originally: I think Amazon should reimburse me the difference in price (this one was about $15 more than the first one) because it wasn’t my fault for needing to spend again/more. Their Customer Service is usually stellar, so I expect no issues. If I haven’t updated this update, assume all went well.Update: Unexpectedly, I got pushback initially from Customer Service. Their policy, the agent said, is not to price-match items from 3rd-party sellers. OK, I get that, but that’s a non-sequitur. YOU (Amazon) sold me a defective item the first time. YOU engage your suppliers, I don’t. I buy from YOU. I shouldn’t be penalized for YOUR bad business decision. I said the right thing to do is consider my lifetime customer value, not this one specific purchase (ask me how I’m aware of this concept in Big Retail), and not damage my loyalty. If, as YOUR tagline says, YOU are “Earth’s most customer-centric company,” then YOU should be paying this penalty, not me. The agent finally offered me the maximum “promotional certificate” he could–which amounted to the approximate price difference. Had the difference been greater, I would have escalated to a supervisor with more authority to make things right.First try: Item took longer to ship/arrive than stated in the listing. Then, come to find out, the camera was non-operational. Amazon Renewed Guarantee is supposed to include having been “professionally inspected” and “rigorously tested.” Very disappointing. Will try again, hopefully not against my better judgement.

Great seller! Received phone promptly, 1 day earlier than expected. Phone looked brand new, no flaws of any kind. My Samsung s8 had outlived it’s functionality – battery wasn’t holding a charge, device was no longer compatible with app updates, minimal media storage – and since I take thousands of photos, I wanted a newer phone with an impressive camera. After reading reviews that said the s24’s camera was the same as the s23, I opted to save money.The s23 is amazing and a perfect upgrade for me with everything I wanted. I was also able to transfer everything (including thousands of photos and videos) with all screen layouts, apps, etc., looking the same and in the same places as before. Basically I can’t tell I’ve changed phones, except for the long-held charge, upgraded apps, tons of storage, fantastic camera, plus some great new perks and tips. I’m just sorry I didn’t upgrade sooner. The seller is highly reviewed for renewed phones and deservedly so.

100% NOT waterproof.
Bought this phone for my husband and it says its supposed to be water proof but after having to rinse it off because some paint got on it there is water droplets stuck in the camera which now his once BEAUTIFUL camera now look like its rainy and blurry all the time :(( sad this phone doesn’t hold up to what it says it should. Fine phone otherwise

An overall great purchase, especially for the price. The S23 is still a great phone in 2025 (for reference I came from the S10), from the performance to its material and design. I am also very impressed, as this is a renewed product and I received the phone in mint condition. Even better, there was a screen protector already pre-applied with no bubbles and scratches. You might be worried about the battery life, but its again, mint condition. My phone usually lasts one day and a half without charge, and let me mind you this is a 120hz screen with a snapdragon processer. As for the camera, its also mint, there are no scratches/nicks and the photos are extremely crisp and clear compared to my old S10. Finally, as for performance, its snappy and fluid, there is not much here to worry about.

Reading some reviews I felt like I was going to be disappointed. The phone is perfect. Not a mark on it or the screen. Battery is great. Phone is not locked and took an esim with no problem. Really couldnt ask for more.

Near perfect quality. 1 small scuff on the side of the phone that gets covered with my phone case anyway. The screen has no issues of any kind, and everything seems to be working as intended.EDIT: 2 month update. Phone is still good. Battery life is still good. I even dropped it in a parking lot by accident(with case) and it’s still good.
