Realistic, durable, and worth the price
My toddler spent about 10 minutes, confused, trying to understand why these looked like food but didn’t taste like food (he tried to bite almost every piece). These have been his favorite items to play with (after I convinced him they weren’t real) ever since. Heck, even I enjoy “eating” the items he prepares for me that he “cooked” on his kiddie grill.

My two year old son absolutely loves playing with pretend food, and we have found all learning resource play food to be the highest quality.The construction of each piece is sturdy, and you can tell when you hold each item that there is a density to it that rivals all other play food. In addition, each piece includes subtle details that give the food a realistic look, which makes it easy for children to know exactly what the item is.I have found that learning resource food typically cost a little bit more; however, because of the solid construction, the food will hold up far longer than competitive companies.

My daughter is two and she loves her “pretend food” as she calls it. I have to say these are much more durable than other similar products. They have a heavy feel to them. They are sturdy and I believe they will last many years. I read one review that mentioned the food isn’t true to size. Well I can’t argue with that when looking at the banana…and the carrot…oh and maybe the pear too…but everything else is just right…and my daughter doesn’t mind at all. It’s not as though it’s confusing her. She pretends to feed her Cookie Monster doll and enjoys playing with this set.

Perfectly size, quality constructed play food for little ones. I have several of the Learning Resources food sets for our little one and these are just the best. Bright colors and the food is reasonably sized; not tiny. This set is great to encourage healthy snack choices. We try to make sure we have these healthy options in our own kitchen as well to support our little one’s healthy play choices. Great set.
