Quality Considering the Low Price Point
For the price, this is not a bad product, which is why I give this four stars instead of three. However this is definitely a “you get what you pay for” situation. It feels generally flimsy, and lacks a lot of stability. In a carpeted area, I have to place a centimeter or so of cardboard under some of the feet so that it leans more against the wall and doesn’t fling my books and trinkets across the floor when I breath too heavily. This is definitely not great with kids or pets or placed in high traffic areas. I would not recommend this to someone as a forever item in their home if they can afford a more quality product.HOWEVER- this is extremely easy to build and rebuild time and time again, so if you move frequently, but want a nice little shelf to hold a couple of items, this is great. It has about 7 minutes of build time and has no screws (it is built by screwing the black tubes into each other with the shelves in between) so you probably won’t be losing pieces as they are all fairly big. Furthermore, it doesn’t look excessively cheap, especially from a distance, working as a supplementary piece in any space. Overall, I don’t know if I would recommend this to everyone, but it is definitely not going to break the bank for most, and I certainly do not feel like I was ripped-off, considering the price.
