Issues from the BeginningI purchased this Amazon Basics Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse Combo on January 10, 2025, and unfortunately, I’ve had problems with it from the very start.At first, I assumed the issues might be due to weak batteries or a connection problem. I replaced the batteries multiple times over the past few weeks, hoping it would help—but it didn’t.From day one, the keyboard was difficult to use. I had to press down hard on each key just to get it to register, and even then, there was a noticeable lag when typing. Simple shortcuts that I regularly use on my Mac desktop (like Command+C for copy or Command+V for paste) didn’t work at all. It became clear that something wasn’t right.A few weeks ago, I decided to try the combo with a different computer and replaced the batteries again. This time, I connected it to my Mac desktop in a different room. Today, I attempted to log in using the keyboard, and it wouldn’t type anything. It seems to have completely stopped working.I’m not sure if this keyboard and mouse combo is simply not compatible with Mac devices, or if I received a defective unit, but either way—it’s been a frustrating experience. I regret not returning it sooner and feel disappointed that I wasted my money.I typically trust Amazon Basics products, but this one missed the mark for me.

The keyboard is infact very ergonomic and useful. Fits into my hand perfectly. It is very quiet and useful for office work. The keys are paced in such a way that makes it very effective. Keyboard is great, mouse is susceptible to gravity
Keyboard is great, I am still using it 15 months later! I like the feel and sound of the keyboard. The mouse died after a few months of use (launched off my desk by the phone cable a few times and then fell apart in an unrepairable way died). I appreciated that they share the same USB dongle, plug-and-play FTW!

Everything you need, nothing you don’t
I just received my keyboard and mouse combo and the keyboard is awesome. The key layout is perfect, especially the Insert, Delete, Home, End, and PgUp/PgDn keys directly above the arrow keys. The function keys are done right. Unlike competing products, the function keys work by default and the Fn key must be held to do the non-standard stuff like adjust volume and start the email and music programs. Logi does all of those things wrong and, as a result, I hate their products. It’s comfortable to type on and the keys feel great. I’ll have to get used to it. The mouse is super basic and very slick to the feel, and is 20% too small, so my hand is likely going to slip off. The keyboard has a similar problem. I wish they had a more textured feel or rubbery panels like their more expensive competitors. All in all, a great purchase for not a lot of money.

I got this to replace a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard which I have gone through 3 of as the letter on the left side wore out. This is very similar at a far less expensive cost. The mouse is on the smallish side but works very well.

It’s a great little keyboard. I am very comfortable typing on the keyboard. Key travel feels good and smooth. The palm rest is padded and fabric covered. the layout of the keys fit well with fingers. I’m a touch typist and find the keys easily.The mouse works great. I would have preferred a larger mouse but I got used to it. It just has the standard buttons on it but it works fine for my needs.Setup was smooth. I just plugged the usb transmitter, turned on the keyboard and mouse and everything worked. I have the transmitter plugged into a KVM switch as I use a PC and laptop. Transitions between the two devices are smooth and uneventful.No info on battery life yet.All in all I’m very happy with my purchase.
