Nice “big guy” chair for the price
This is a nice “big guy” chair for the price, the description is correct, it’s able to handle my 6 foot 450 pound frame with comfort and ease.Took me about 30 minutes to put it together with the included T-shaped Allen wrench. I cranked the bolts extra tight so there is no squeaking or rattling, but it took a good amount of effort to do so, so if don’t have a rather strong grip you might need some help. It’s got a very firm seat cushion, which means it’s comfortable to sit in for long periods, at least for me. No “bottoming out” and feeling like you’re sitting on a sheet of plywood like some other chairs I’ve had. Plenty of width in the seat, and the armrests stick out a little wider, so no squeezing in or pinching on the thighs or anything. It’s a big chair for big people, which, again, makes it very comfortable for someone my size.I love mesh-backed chairs, and this one reminds me of the (much much more expensive) Herman Miller Aeron I sat in for five years at an old job (favorite chair ever, some day I’ll get one!) with a breathable and flexible yet firm webbed mesh back with lumbar support. This particular model does not tilt, I assume to cut down on cost. But that is fine with me, I don’t like to tilt in office chairs anyway, something about them tipping over backwards due to my sheer bulk ;)I did swap out the stock wheels for some aftermarket “rollerblade” style wheels with bearings, and that makes rolling around while sitting or just moving it around a breeze, without leaving any marks or tears on my vinyl flooring.Overall, highly recommended!

    Sturdy and comfortable
This chair is sturdy and comfortable especially if you need something for a bigger person. I’m a bigger guy over 350 pounds and I needed something that was going to be comfortable but also could handle my weight. This chair is really wide in the seat and has a lot more cushion than I expected. The back support is also great. It looks like your classic office chair and it has steel parts not cheap plastic. It is well worth the price.

DO NOT BUY Rocking After 2 Months
May 2nd 2024 update: Chair is completely unfunctional due to bad metal (the plate under had a giant hole like it can’t handle 220lbs). I slide comepletely off the chair because the base now sits at a 45 degree front-wards lean. This can only be fixed via welding and is a manufacturer error. Both myself and Amazon customer support tried to reach them and they’ve ignored us. Amazon can’t do anything after 30 days and since this broke down completely in May nothing can be done. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.May update 2024: The chair has a significant lean forward and metal is starting to break under the seat. It has about a 30 degree lean forward to where if I try to slide under my desk I actually fall out of the chair. It creaks extremely bad as well, with many pop sounds. I have no idea how this is still listed as I’m only 220 pounds and it’s almost completely broken in under a year. Anyone who’s heavier is at significant risk of injury.February 2024 update: Rocking has gotten so bad I’ve almost fell out of the chair to the side even with the locking mechanism in place to stop the seat from it’s natural rear-recline.The seat under the fabric is falsely made to seem like its cushioned but it’s like a hollow, hollow plastic square of a seat. Almost like a giant tupperware with a thin cushion jacket around it.I can lean in most directions and hear it pop from flexing to and from its shape. It’s extremely uncomfortable now because of all this. No actual cushion, constant leaning (the level on locks the reclining in place, there’s nothing to stop it from leaning as its not supposed to do that to the side.)My tailbone hurts everytime I’m in this chair, it’s terrible.Avoid at all costs.Original 2 Month review: Assembly was pretty straight forward. You have to tighten (as per the instructions) the screws every 2 weeks. Yet despite doing this, a weird rocking has built up slowly since the purchase. No amount of tightening will fix this. So I’m assuming if I’m lucky this chair only has a 4-5 month life span since it’s already doing this 2 months in, as the screws aren’t the problem.

    Not bad, not the best
First off, the listing shows that this can hold 500lbs but when you get the product, the manual says 400lbs so be aware of that. The chair is wide, so if you are a wider person this would be great. It does feel pretty cheaply made and this is not going to be a long term chair. You wont have this for years and years. It is comfortable though. The only issues I am having, the lumbar support pillow on the back slides down on its own, the chair does lean back but is very stiff and the warranty from the manufacturer is only 3 months. If you are needing a chair for a desk that you don’t sit at a lot this will work fine. If you are a gamer or you work from home and need a good chair for long sitting times and for years and years of use, spend more money. This ain’t gonna be it.

Took 3 years before the chair started “failing” me
At the time I bought this chair, which was in March of 2022, I was around the 450 lb mark (down over 100 lbs since!), and after about 3 years, I have had almost no problems with this chair. Only now, after nearly 3 1/2 years, the central pole part wobbles a bit, so I end up leaning a bit in whatever direction my weight is shifted towards, and occasionally the piston that controls the height will “leak”, therefore I have to re-adjust the height. My only other issue I have ever had is the screws that hold the armrest itself (not the entire holder, just the armrest) occasionally work themself loose. I have had to put the screws back in a few times over these last 3 1/2 years.Otherwise, this has been an amazing chair for my extremely obese self, and if I was still 450 lbs, I would be buying this as a replacement.

Ok here’s the skinny… I am not.I’m 5′ 5″ and likely over 340 lbs (I don’t use scales because they’re toxic to my soul). The average width of a seat is not problematic unless the arms aren’t adjustable so I wasn’t looking for a wide seat chair as much as a deep seated chair. You see, I have a plentiful backside and unless there are gaps between the chair back and chair seat, that fleshy part of my body pushes me forward. I’m always trying to prevent myself from slipping off (especially leather seats).Pros to this chair:1. The seat is deeper than the average.2. The arms are set wide because the seat is wider than the average.3. The arms can be tightened against the seat or an inch or so away from the seat so very accommodating.4. The arms can be left off entirely.5. The chair is fabric (not leather) so no slipping.6. The seat cushion is thick enough that my backside feels cradled *winky face*.7. The chair was relatively easy to assemble by myself.Cons to this chair:1. The chair is a little higher than the average chair so if you’re shorter like me, you’ll likely need a foot rest. I mean it is advertised as “Big and Tall” so I should have expected that.2. The chair feels a tiny bit wobbly. Now it’s entirely possible that I have some more tightening to do.3. The ‘lumbar supoort’ is not well placed or adjustable enough for someone with an extra large backside. I would like to be able to raise it higher.4. The chair doesn’t seem to roll as smoothly as my last chair.I recommend this chair to large bodied folks and in fact I’ve already suggested it to some friends.

The chair came in one box. Which was completely intact. My husband is a larger man 350+ lbs. He spends a lot of time at the computer, mostly playing games and doing research. I’d been looking for several months for a new chair, because our old one was very sad to look at or sit in.I checked out the previous reviews on this particular chair and had it in my cart for awhile. Closer to the Christmas holiday 2022 I decided to take the chance. Once my husband opened the box, it took minimal time to assemble the chair. I would highly recommend this chair to anyone. We all love the fact that the seat is a little wider than normal, and comfortable. The rear of the seat prevents your back from becoming overheated. There’s nothing worse then your shirt sticking to your sweating back!!! It’s a genius design. I’m surprised that more chairs aren’t like this. There are 5 of us in our home. The adaptability of the seat accommodates everyone. I have back issues and I’ve got no issues sitting in the chair. I honestly wish I’d purchased the chair long before last Christmas season.

Exactly what I need to work and game from home!I ordered and received this brand new chair 4 months ago and have been using it steadily every day since. I am a big and tall man (over 6ft, over 300lbs) and my previous work from home chair with a similar design (except plastic back support) finally wore and broke.I was searching for a chair with a wide seat and sturdy metal back support for my 40+ hours working from home and gaming, and this chair is the exact design I was looking for (mesh back + adjustable arms).Delivery/Assembly:The delivery was super fast – I got it within 2 days of ordering and it wasn’t fulfilled by Amazon. The packaging was brand new and well packed (I had read reviews of other chairs being delivered with opened packing after being returned). Though everything was well packaged, one of 4 plastic clips on the cosmetic plastic back plate had cracked off (see picture). This has not been an issue and the back plate remains secured to the chair 4 months later. If I lean back really far that corner will pop out slightly but the back plate hasn’t fallen off. This would be the only minor issue with the packaging/assembly. It even came with a very ergonomic alan key tool with a plastic grip for assembly, better than most furniture which comes with the simple L-shaped tool.Comfort:I find this chair to be very comfortable to be sitting in most of the day. The seat cushion is very comfortable and breathable, but I have placed a couple of pillows on it for added cushioning since I am using the chair soo much. This is also to preserve the chair cushion. When I first got the chair I kept it locked upright and felt that the lumbar support was set slightly high, until I boosted myself up with pillows. I now usually have the chair unlocked to freely recline and I appreciate the range of motion it allows.*One of the most important features is that I can push back in the reclining state without fear of the chair breaking or tipping over under my weight. The primary L-shaped bar which connects the seat is made of wide, thick metal and I do not worry that I will break the back or tip over, as I am wary of with other office chairs. The arm rests are very comfortable and can go fairly high. I sit all day with my arms rested on them as I type and they do not have any sharp edges and their material is soft to lean on.The reclining mechanism is simple to use and I do not experience the pneumatic support slowly lowering or getting shorter during the day, as I have heard in reviews of other office chairs.I don’t usually write reviews but I did a lot of research to find the perfect working from home chair and hopefully this will be helpful to others on the same search. I do find this to be a great value and one of the best office chairs I’ve ever used. I don’t just use this for work, I used to play games from my couch but have since transitioned to using this chair for gaming, so I am using it most of the day when home. Ultimately I give this chair 5/5 stars as it is the exact design I was looking for, is very comfortable and has the necessary support for someone of my size. None of the minor flaws seemed enough to warrant removing a star and the price is also much cheaper than other chairs I have seen with a similar look, but are not designed to handle over 300lbs. I hope this helps!UPDATE:The metal of the main mechanism which controls the height and attaches the leg to the seat cracked approximately 1.5 years after purchase. When I emailed the manufacturer to request a replacement part (which I said I would gladly pay for) they sent a brief reply stating that they are not “allowed” to send/sell replacement parts after the 90 day warranty has ended. For this reason I downgraded to 4/5 stars.I’ll still bought another of these chairs while waiting for their reply, as it was comfortable and lasted a year and a half of daily use all day.

I got this not cause I am 400 lbs or anything but I wanted a comp chair that would last and that I could sit cross legged in like a real urban buddhist monk-had it for over 6 months it is pretty awesome and well builtthe instructions I needed a degree in theoretical physics for but it is a good purchase like most of mine

Update: after a year of use the cushion is really uncomfortable and so it the lumbar support. They put some sort of metal structure under the cushion that pushes upwards and you can feel after sitting for a bit. Same with the lumbar support, that stupid “massage” thing has little balls in it that dig into your back. It’s not worth the money you save, buy a more expensive chair. The good, I’m a tall big dude, 6’5″ 280lbs so its hard to find chairs that are comfortable and at least right now this is comfortable. It also seems to be made out of decently thick steel for the most part which gives me hope it will last a decent period of time. Putting it together was pretty easy, took maybe 30min, they give you an allen key that you can torque without hurting your hand which is nice, they even give you spare screws. The bad, it doesn’t use standard parts. The gas cylinder is a class 4 which is good but its only 14″ long and an inch of that ends up below the chair, standard size is 15.5″ so its not very good for tall people. Also, by the amount it sank when I sat in it, I doubt it will have decent longevity before it starts sinking and needs to be replaced. I have to have it on the highest height in order to be at a normal desk height. Also, the wheels are also not a standard one, they’re tiny which is fine for looks but if you roll over even the smallest bump in the floor it gets stuck, also something you’ll probably have to replace in the future. The bottom piece is not one piece, it’s how IKEA does it where the legs are screwed into the centre which reduces its longevity. Lastly, the lumbar support only moves 2 inches and is quite small so it doesn’t really end up in my lower back. All in all, like I said in the title, if you can get it on sale which I did for 163 CAD including the 30 dollar shipping, its a good deal if you compare it to the other chairs for those of use descended from giants, which are closer to 250 or 300 but don’t expect a chair that doesn’t creak or wobble a bit cuz it does and made vary clear by the numerous large stickers all over it, its very much made in china.
