Worked well out of the box, may need to tweak settings…
I’ve been a fan of ZealSound products since starting my podcast 2 years ago. The quality I’ve gotten from products has been satisfactory and the customer service has been second to none. This new version of the K66 podcast mic (this one is the K66DG) may have been the answer to some of my wiring issues. There are no shortage of wires hooked up when recording and one less wire to worry about can really make a difference. I did notice some loss of volume between the wired version and the wireless, but in my second video you would see how much improved I was able to adapt after just a minute of fiddling with settings, however, Amazon only allows one video per review… I think given a few more attempts I would be able to utilize this new mic without sacrificing anything. At the beginning of the video I’m using the regular version of the mic with the boom arm (this is my preferred mic setup), and then I transition to the wireless K66DG. The difference is noticeable in that first video, but again, brand new out of the box with no adaptation to my recording settings at all. With just a few tweaks the performance improved and this will be a useful tool for years to come I hope.

It is too lightweight so even a small touch can knock it off your desk.I bought mine in April, 2025 and it stopped working as a mic. If I wanted it as headphones, I can configure Windows 11 for headphones. It won’t recognize it as a mic. When it worked, it had good sound. Now? Nothing

Good mic for the money
I would take a half a star off if I could. Although it’s a good mic it’s a little inconvenient. I use for gaming on my Windows PC. Every time I want to use it I have to unplug the USB receiver then plug it back in to get the mic to connect. No trouble with it connecting, very fast. I contacted the manufacture for tech support through email thinking something was wrong with it. To their credit they were very responsive, answered all my questions. They said this was normal for this mic to be like that. Oh well, for the money it’s still worth buying. So, if the manufacturer is listening maybe redesign it to stay connected, that would be an improvement.
