I recently purchased the Typhur Dome 2 Air Fryer, and it has completely transformed my cooking experience! Best air Fryer on the market but it needs a fan speed control and more useful app
There’s a lot of confusing information floating around about harmful chemicals on the cooking area or inside the basket. You’ll have to do your own research there. I can tell you this cook better than any air fryer ive ever owned. I would highly recommend it, but the company should do something about the app functionality. The app is very limited for setting up cook times temperatures and fan speeds. I had to reach out to the company to understand the fan speed options, which are just controlled through the different settings on the front. You don’t really get a direct fan speed control. So for example, if you’re cooking a pizza you have to start slowly so don’t blow off the pizza. But if you want a very crispy, Krust, you have to step up the fan speed. If you step up the temperature, you’ll burn the toppings, but you have to wait until the top is nice and melted before you can turn up the fan speed or the blow all over the inside and over the coil. I almost exclusively use the bacon setting, which is low fan speed and then adjust the temperature according to what I’m cooking. I haven’t figured out how to use the other buttons. The company isn’t very helpful telling which button to use. I’ve cooked steak, fish, chicken and once you figure out the settings it turns out perfectly. I feel like the app should be more useful to help you with the settings and they should provide more help on setting fan speeds cook times and temperature. The wide flat basket makes it much more useful than the deep basket air fryers. It’s easy to clean. if it wasn’t for the frustration, of not knowing the settings. I’m having to deal with that each time and remember what worked best last time I would give this thing five stars at $500 it should be a lot more user-friendly. If you do email the company, they are extremely helpful, but I don’t wanna email the company every time I wanna cook a meal.UPDATE: 10/13/24I am bumping my review to five stars because the performance and design is excellent, and the fact that the customer service actually care to improve and support the product. It’s the best air fryer on the market hands down. Customer service did continue to work with me and the communication was exceptional. With their assistance, I’ve been able to use the device much better. I would love to see the app be more useful. For example, if you’re cooking a pizza, it needs to start out slow, but then pick up at the end to crisp the crust. Maybe in the app if they had different examples thick piece of salmon thin piece of salmon cod chicken, wings, chicken breast, thin chicken breast, breaded chicken or whatever.

Best Air Fryer for Pizza Making!
I watched a video of Emma Fontanella from YouTube making Neapolitan Pizzas in the Typhur Dome Air Fryer 2 and decided I needed to try it. I waited for Prime Day to snag this amazing Air Fryer for $285 in July, 2025 and I was not disappointed making my first 10” Neapolitan Pizza using Emma’s 3-Ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe. I no longer need to use my outdoor pizza oven because this fabulous air fryer makes a super crispy crust (I put cornmeal on the bottom of the dough for that extra crisp) and it delivered a tried and true pizza. I will never order pizza from my local pizza place again! The additional bottom heating element makes a huge difference delivering an amazing crispy crust without having a super high 500-600 degree indoor or outdoor oven. I use the Built in Pizza Setting which is set at 340 Degrees for 14 minutes with an 8 minute Pre-Heat and it works perfectly for a homemade pizza crust. The lower temperature setting ensures my top doesn’t burn but the newly added bottom heating element makes sure the crust comes out crispy. You will not be disappointed! Another great feature is how quiet it is and how it does not get super hot when in use.I have also made homemade French Fries and BBQ Chicken in here and it came out perfectly. I personally prefer to use this primarily as my pizza oven though it does have a great Self-Cleaning function if I decide to use it for making other messier items. But you need to initiate that through the app on your phone which I have yet to try. I stick to my cheaper Gourmia Air Fryer for that as I like to keep this more expensive air fryer clean more often. Overall, I am very pleased with this Air Fryer and feel like I got my money’s worth as I can easily make Neapolitan Pizzas when friends and family come over and they are pleasantly surprised at how good they come out considering they were cooked in an Air Fryer. I added a picture of the pizza size in the Air Fryer which as you can see still has plenty of room for a larger pizza. The other pic is the finished pizza which was devoured in record time.

Worth the price!
Spot on air fryer. Very quiet almost no noise. Cooks in half the time of other airfryers and very easy to clean. I recommend buying this air fryer if your looking for a new one. Find the room on your counter space well worth it! Food comes out nice crispy!

We splurged on this and are very happy with the purchase.Whether any air fryer could be worth this price is one question. There is no doubt this appliance is well built with high quality materials and components. Due to the premium nature of this beast, the result is a device that is easy to use and clean. The app is required to access certain features/presets of the AF, but is not necessary.The cooking performance is exceptional, and assuming your counter/space has enough clearance for this, it should satisfy your cooking requirements and then some. The low profile design seems to result in a more even cook throughout. Chicken, salmon, and various veggies, and frozen mini pizzas have come out oh so good.I don’t love being somewhat tied to an app, but it performs very well once you have it configured and remote notifications are obviously welcome. It won’t pair with more than one device but you can setup the AF with one account and share that account with other users.Will update this review (hopefully) over the years as it is an investment. Whether it is worth the price tag is up to you. The cook in our family swears this is “much better” than the previous AF (Instant Pot), and she uses the AF daily. The Dome 2 Is a champ for large, low-profile loads. We wouldn’t bake or air fry a whole chicken or turkey anyway, so the low profile design is not a constraint for us.It was definitely a splurge/luxury purchase but no regrets, keeping in mind this costs 2/3X more than “what most people need”, ourselves included.

I dreaded air frying in my stainless steel rack air fryer because of the time and hassle I had to endure in cleaning it.I discovered easy cleanup with the drawer type air fryers but was put off by the possibly toxic teflon coatings.The Typhur Dome 2 cleans up with a quick wipe of its stable ceramic coating and its self cleaning feature .The second burner allows for consistent even results.There is less smoke with the thyphur, resulting in fewer smoke alarm trips.The size of the cooking area compared to that of other products, eliminates the need to cook several batches.Solid construction.
