It’s so awesome to see the OG Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 crew reimagined in modern animation. This is a side story for Amuro and the White Base crew but it is very entertaining.

Great gundam movie. Blu ray could have more extras but thats a common complaint these days. Picture and sound quality were good. Yes this was onnyoutube and returns sometimes, but its best to have a disc to watch on your time.

I loved this movie. It was great to see the classic crew with modern animation. It makes me want a whole remake. For anyone confused this contains the original Japanese as well as the English dub.

A Review of the Product not the Movie
First, I’m assuming you want Gundam and that’s why your buying. This bluray doesn’t come with very many features. Just the movie and a couple of advertisements in the original Japanese. But the crisp picture quality and sound are the reason we buy physical media, am I right? And they nail it. This bluray looks gorgeous! And the sound mix is spot on! The dubb is fantastic as well. It’s pretty bare bones, but it’s better than streaming.

I love Gundam, especially the Universal Century series.This movie is very good but it doesn’t add anything critical to the overall story. It takes place early during the original anime series and feels like a really long episode than a film. Many familiar faces appear throughout.It’s a tad slow paced but the mobile suit action is great and looks fantastic when it happens. The movie does a good job with Amuro where he’s a bit naive at the start and grows up a bit in the end. That’s the theme of the whole series – war changes people but this movie does attempt to do some character development.I’m so starved for more Amuro and Char in this modern animation style, I’ll take anything. Gundam the Origin is a great series too if you want another recent original Gundam series.
